Karma?

So, if Bret Bielema gets a raise after a good year, you think he’ll cut the Lord in for a piece of the action?

Well, today is Sunday so a sermon from Mr. SEC is to be expected. He is right about one thing though. The Arky coach’s comments were stupid.

No, no, no, no, no, no, nooooo. Wrong guy, Joy. I posted about this a couple of weeks ago. It was that Ole Debbil himself. God is way too busy with other weightier things to worry about a football game or team. Besides, why would God favor a team that cheats and whose players try to intentionally hurt opponents? Naw, it’s Beelzebub. Absolutely.

I’m sure the Almighty could use a few extra dollars from Coach Bielema every now and then- ya know- with an ever expanding universe to maintain. Ans so many college teams to schedule wins for.

Now wait a minute! You all mean that God has been behind the plan to hand Bielema this record? Exactly when would this plan have been established; right after a Petrino hard-on created for another coach’s fiancee while on a Harley ride in God’s country?

That be a real harsh God with one helluva gallow’s humor.

Maybe without Divine intervention, Arkansas would be 0-11. Auburn would be 8-3, Vandy would have another loss…(wait a minute..that’s not “Divine intervention”, it’s “Biased Official Intervention) and UGA would be playing FSU for the NC.
BTW…Most people I have asked (Newnan Area) believe Awlbun will win. I don’t know who to be for (I can’t stand either program right now…too many creepy factors on both sides). Most around here, incuding Mrs. Lovelydawg, are pulling for Awlbun (we’re living in “Lapland”….where Alabama laps over into Ga…as do collegate loyalties). It’s going to be interesting…what is really a little bit of less than a top tier SEC team playing against what is arguably the best ACC team in many a year….Most say “FSU hasn’t really beaten anybody”, but I contend neither has Awlbun….they just had two huge wins thrown into their laps. I guess I’ll watch with curiostiy only, until someone on one team or the other does something or says something to make me hate them…or the announcers root for one team or the other and make me hate them.

“Most people…..believe Awlbun will win.” You do understand, Ug, that FSU is favored by 2TDs, don’t you?

I was standing on a corner in Winslow Arizona when girl in a flat bed Ford stopped and said “I’m on my way home from the Playboy Mansion where I work…Get in, you’re coming with me”.
This is how Auburn won those two games.

Yep..and just to let you know…any similarity of anything I post and anything ever said by them is purely coincidental.

“Spurrier…once called an assistant into a postgame press room so the guy could explain his thinking of an in-game decision that had backfired.”

I hope it’s not too late for someone in the know to see this comment, but can someone PLEASE point me in the direction of this video? Utterly classic.

I’m late to the party on this one, but this article has managed to combine my two favorite things in the world: theology and CFB. I think Bielema spoke more accurately than the author gives him credit for. “God from all eternity, did, by the most wise and holy counsel of His own will, freely, and unchangeably ordain whatsoever comes to pass; yet so, as thereby neither is God the author of sin, nor is violence offered to the will of the creatures; nor is the liberty or contingency of second causes taken away, but rather established” (WCF, 3.1).
