I don’t know if this is the greatest Christmas song ever written, but it’s certainly in the running.
On the second thought, maybe it is the greatest Christmas song ever written. Hope y’all are enjoying a great holiday season.

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
“Fairytale of New York” is still my favorite Christmas song.

“Fairytale” is awesome. That was my pick at the blog last year. I’ll probably alternate between the two.

Thanks! My favorite Christmas tune and I listen to it year round. I often wonder if Robert Earl had recently watched National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation when he wrote this song.

Best Christmas move every is A Christmas Story. Best song is tougher to pick, traditional my favorite is “O Holy Night” by John Berry. Kids song is “I’m getting nothin’ for Christmas”. “Merry Christmas from the Family” and “Christmas in Dixie” are also favorites of mine. Merry Christmas to all the Dawg fans on here and thank you Senator for all the hard work you do on the site. It is like a Christmas gift everyday to Dawg fans to get to read your posts everyday.

I tried that Evan Williams egg nog this year, and it’s pretty good. Now, there’s not enough booze in it, but it’s a good warm up to a glass of Blanton’s.

Honestly, it’s kind of stuffy sounding, but brandy is better in eggnog…and you can get the women to drink it.

Props for putting up the REK version rather than the weak remake by Montgomery Gentry that made it on the radio last year.
