I love it when a plan comes together.

Nick Saban, you have it within your power to make this blogger a happy, happy man.  Junior at ‘Bama would be a dream come true.  Don’t blow this opportunity.  Do it for the children bloggers.  Please, please, please…

Say what you will, he was pretty successful as an OC at USC. Over 49 ppg and 579 ypg. Even better, Layla is a Gator alum and their only son is named “Knox”

There’s a pretty good chance Bama will ask to talk to Mike Bobo, and throw a huge offer at him. He fits their system nicely.

Nussmeier may be let down at Michigan, when he finds out he can’t get his guys on a steroid program or sacrifice a couple to motivate the others, tools he had at his disposal at Bama.

Word is that Nuss was “processed”, he didn’t have much say in the matter… It was either Mich. or Alabama St. 😉

This is not even a lateral move. CMR has lost control of bama coaches at this point.

Bobby retread to Louisville…Anchor up to Penn State…Junior to Bama….Boom stays put….2014 is shaping up nicely and we’re only 9 days in.

Remember when Richt was courting Kirby and Saban said ” we don’t like our staff to make lateral moves” ? WTF NIck? Maybe he found an OC with a better 40 time and told Nussmeier he had to grayshirt.

Well, It is not flashy, but I am hoping for this scenario-
“Another name receiving buzz is Mike Groh. The former Alabama receivers coach held the same position this season with the Chicago Bears. From 2006-08, Groh was the Virginia offensive coordinator. He too was fired from that position.”

Groh destroyed UVA’s offense. I would not be sad to see that happen to an SEC foe.

I see Saban secretly coveting the new spread much like Shooter McGavin practicing the hockey swing in Happy Gilmore. Hiring Junior would throw off the balance of the program and could easily shake the program into pieces in a violent we left you at the bus depot type of collapse.

    • The man’s not a bad offensive coach, and can certainly recruit. It’s not an obvious fail choice imo.

      • Kiffin is overrated as an offensive guru.

        • Easy now, I never called the man a “guru”. I just said he’s “not bad”. I’d say he’s as good or better than some Nick has had as his OC, like Nuss, and Major Applewhite. I can certainly see the positives of that being the way he goes (recruiting, pro style, a QB coach background, among other things).

What gets real fun, considering Kiffys HC experience, does that make him, or Kirby the true HCiW for a 62 yr old Nicky (63 on this coming Halloween, cause of course Saban was born on Oct 31)?

Well dang it! All the good coaches are taken so I guess we’re stuck with Richt.
