Georgia, you’re so Georgia.

While we’re talking about staff positions, how ’bout hiring somebody to be put in charge of monitoring this?

My pick would be to hire somebody off of Jimmy Williamson’s roster.  You get some real insight into what they’re up to, plus they have to go out and get somebody else.  Kind of like raiding a top recruiter from another school’s staff.

At least he won’t be suspended for any games…

  4. Interesting to hear Wilson is interviewing for Bama’s DL job. Gonna be hilarious when he leaves for Bama and Kirby stays. I’m sure the Dawgvent will handle that with grace.

GMG should just hire Jimmy Williamson as Associate Athletic Director for Traffic Compliance and DMV Relations.

Had a similar thought about a law enforcement “consultant” to be involved with B-M. Time the two sides sat down and tried to understand one another. It is clear there is some animosity in the relationship. UGA admin and city leaders need to work this out. Not asking for athletes to be treated softer, just to be treated like the other students. All encounters shouldn’t result in a ticket/arrest.

Nothing to see here. This is a non-story at other schools. He won’t be suspended, but this means the sky is falling and we have bad kids in Athens and no discipline.

In the meantime, we’ll see how much of a suspension DGB gets in Columbia, MO. It’d be 6 games in Athens. My bet is he doesn’t miss a snap.

Some people are just damn born stupid. Even some education and life experience does not help them. The AD said recently the schedule impacted the Athens community to $2 million dollars. With an excellant business school across the road, I’d think that could be legit. Here is a message for Athens.

The message for the county commissioners, chamber of commerce, city commissioners, and business leaders…keep it up stupid. Keep pissing on the players and the athletes at UGA. No one, not one damn soul comes to cheer on a final, but over a 100,000 come to see players beat LSU, Carolina and top ranked teams.

Here is another message for the AD departmemt, there is enough staff there to monitor licenses, class schedules, course progress, and etc on almost a damn daily basis. Look they are young guys trying to grow, mature and etc but in a fast, paced time frame…D1 sports are demanding, more so the alums and supporters.

To defend Shaq a bit…..while no excuse for the suspended part, he got pulled over (from what I am told) on a part of College Station that the speed limit was just changed from 45 to 35 with no warning or fanfare. Usually 52 don’t get you pulled over in a 45

College Station is a NOTORIOUS speed trap. I’ve been ticketed there myself.

The road is four lanes from Kroger to campus but the speed limit is 35mph as you go down hill from Kroger towards the Oconee River and jumps to 45 after you cross the bridge.

If he played for Spurrier they would be laughing about it Clowney thinks that is going slow. Taj Boyd did worse than that and no one called out Dabo.
