Name that caption, back to the future edition

Can I just say that I never got around to reading this article about college football in 2034?

You had me at the Photoshop.

That is one heaping helping of awesome there. Comments, people, comments.

(Leans to GA) Go to my office real quick. My sunglasses are in the middle desk drawer–I’ll need them for the press conference.

“And we’re about ready to kick off here, in Lane Kiffin’s first game as head coach of the Florida Gators. Lane is coming off a spotty 6-7 record in his one year as coach at Notre Dame. This will be Lane’s 25th head coaching job since he left the Oakland Raiders in 2009.

Meanwhile Florida is trying to replace Will Muschamp, who achieved an 0-25 record against his alma mater, the Georgia Bulldogs.”

Damn! Layla used to look like that, now she’s fat as a sow. Wonder if I can get one of these cheerleaders to go for ride on my Fatboy.

  7. Lane Kiffin promises “Georgia will never win against UF while I’m the head coach” ala Tennessee. I’m probably dead by then anyway. Hahaha.

At least these fans won’t bash me for de-emphasizing and ignoring their traditions. Aside from a fifteen year window, they really don’t have any.

In addition to the picture part of the article, the author did a good job. We are on our way to exactly what he says. Flag football at the high school level at least. The one area that I think will have an effect on the game will be the research into cumulative head trauma. I predict that football will become 7 on 7 to totally eliminate the every play collisions of the big guys. Now will it be 7 on 7 flag football or will lite tackling be involved? That my friends is the question. Oh yea and it may not happen in 20 years but there will come a day when there will be no intercollegiate athletes. Colleges will go back to club teams in areas of interest but the stadiums will be torn down and building will take their place. We will in yet another way become Europe.

Remove helmets and shoulder pads but allow tackling. I’m pretty sure nobody is going to lead with their head anymore. That should limit concussions. I think it would still be a fun game to watch.

“Hey Dad, you got our defense ready for that Bulldog offense today?” In other news, Monte Kiffin still coaching at the age of 117.

The realignment section of the article goes into exactly why I wanted FSU in the SEC over Mizzou. The Big12 needs recruiting grounds and the SEC has invaded Texas with A&M closing their monopoly of BCS teams in Texas. The SEC should have taken control of Florida by locking down FSU. A conf wins on talent, the SEC now is the only conf. with programs in 2 of the top 3 talent producing states.
