Delany’s latest idle threat

Look out, boys, he’s pretending he’s serious again!

Delany said if college football players were able to unionize, the NCAA would likely seek congressional guidance to help determine the future of college athletics.

Orrin Hatch and Joe Barton are standing by, ready to help, Jim.  Just give ’em the heads up.

Bankers are pilloried a lot in the court of public opinion, but in actuality are there any scummier people than the ones at the top of collegiate administration?

Wait, I can answer my own question: Yes, in politics.

    This will end well.

I wonder how many recruiting exemptions Saban would hide in the legislation?

We don’t need to read this legislation, we must just pass it now for the good of the Nation. And if you like your current team, you can keep it. Read their lips…no new taxes will be needed to support it.

Oh lord, look for a mandatory portion of gate and tv revenue to go to the union. Its not like the members will have any money to pay dues. If you want to kill this thing, just tell the players they will have to choose between spending their money on smoke or union dues.
