It’s pretty amazing that the same program could go through very similar histories with successor quarterbacks as Georgia is.
Now, all Mason has to do is match D.J.’s success as a starter.

Faton will win the starting job in an upset. It’s my stone cold lock of the century of the week

While I hope Mason gets rewarded with a title for his patience/loyalty, your prediction would bode well for UGA’s season, and maybe the next couple of seasons. We know is Hutson Mason is pretty good, he has been on campus for 4+ years being ovserved by two guys with a great rep for knowing a thing or two about QBs, and he has had some game time experience, and because he even told some people how good he was when he was an understudy for Murray. If Faton takes him down this spring it will mean he is even better so we get an upgrade for 2014 and don’t have to start all over in 2015. I like it. Now while you are playing Carnac, give me the full bracket winners of each game so I can get Buffet’s billion, everyone knows I cannot venture a single pick on CBB games and I do need that cash to fulfill a few thousand dreams I have.

Mason’s chances for success are mostly out of his hands. If Gurley is healthy, all Mason needs to do is hand him the ball. If our D and STs improve, Mason just needs to avoid game-changing mistakes.

+1 Just don’t F it up. Last year Aaron had the weight of the whole team on his shoulders. We knew we had to out score everybody and then the injuries. Had he been any less of a QB the whole season would have been flushed. With the backs we now have, freshman included, , we should be ok. If the injury bug hits us hard this year we will be toast.

Well, actually……the UGA offense requires at least the threat of a passing attack to make the run game work. So let’s hope Mason throws a few strikes, too.
