“Maybe ya’ll wanted to hear about football.”

Or maybe not.

Technically it was a nondescript first day of spring football practice. But because four of his players were arrested and jailed on theft charges 18 hours before it started, Georgia coach Mark Richt was greeted by a couple of dozen media members and cameras from all four of Atlanta’s network television stations after the 90-minute practice concluded.

None of them got the answer they were seeking: How does he plan on punishing the four offending players?

Kinda rude of Mark not to accommodate them.

Article says discipline is in the discretion of Richt since it was a misdemeanor arrest. I thought there was some mandatory missed time with this one? Or is that only smoking a doobie or a DUI? Color me confused-I had already counted them out for Clemson and likely USC.

I could be wrong here, and quite frequently am. but I believe alcohol-related offenses have a mandatory suspension for 10% of the season.

Punish them like SS punished Garcia.
I wish CMR would have told the buzzards from Atlanta that the whole thing was being investigated as a ploy by the involved players to get dismissed so they can enroll in Auburn…Birds of a feather still like to flock together.

In contrast, GT did not disclose the name of the student who took the T.

I’m sorry but the grammar Nazi in me says it’s “y’all”. Every Southerner should know that.

Just heard an interview with Doug Gotlieb, Seems he got caught stealing from dorm mates at Notre Dame over a two week period. Fessed up, made restitution and was going to go in front of Student Judiciary to face charges but ND said no, just transfer. We’ll tell everyone you are leaving cause you are homesick. What a thug, huh Ben Over? What say you Herbie?

Someone said that misdemeanor arrests are up to CMR discretion when not specifically listed in the code of conduct.

regardless of that, they all will miss game time. at least 1 game if not 2 or more.

No says you have to be smart to play football.Guess that is a lot of money to them. But would you not figure out that this act is going to be foung out very quickly. What I would like to know is what did they spend it on. Where are you Josh Harvey? And the roster takes another clip. Be good if Dogs could go into one season and all games with no one suspended. let them go, Matthews is injury prone anyway and does not care if he plays or not. He is just killin time.
