Whatever blows your skirt up.

After looking at GTP‘s traffic numbers for the first quarter of this year, one thing’s obvious: changing defensive coordinators sure is good for business.  2013 was a record year for hits, but this year’s numbers are almost 400,000 ahead of last year at the same time.  It’s the offseason and traffic usually declines, so that’s a ridiculous bump.  It’s not like I’m doing anything differently (i.e., recruiting, which usually gets more attention than anything this time of year), either.

And it’s very similar to what I experienced in 2010, when Grantham was hired.  (From a percentage standpoint, the 2010 increase was bigger than 2014.)

I’ll give you guys credit for consistency.

Definitely the top UGA blog, written by a grown-up, for a largely grown-up audience. I live out of state, and I depend on your astute posting audience for any real inside knowledge of the team I can gather. Doesn’t look good for the O-Line once again, I gather?

I hate Florida, Tennessee, Clemson, Auburn, South Carolina, GT, Notre Dame, Ohio State and whoever Georgia is playing.
I realize this comment is out of place here, but I just needed to say it. .

I’ve been mentioning this blog to all my football buddies and anybody else who is over the AJ comment boards and ESPN’s general lack of anything substantial. The funny part is that the guys “In the know” about UGA football have usually heard of GTP and are on board already. Good stuff here Senator.. Good stuff.

        He’s also a Socialist Pro-Union Sympathizer

Herschel Walker brings his considerable experience as a pro football player in the NFL and the USFL and a dues paying member of a players union to MMA. He talked to MMA Junkie about the need for a fighters union:

“I don’t know the dollars, and I’m not going to get into the pockets of the UFC, but if you start looking at the amount of money they make, which I don’t know the exact amount, but look at the amount of money they make, if someone audited their books – you can’t tell me in an individual sport you can’t have a union and have a guy that has four or five professional fights and let them be part of the union,” Walker said. “Once you become part of the union, you can get insurance. You can get certain benefits that aren’t there right now. I don’t know why that can’t happen.”

I just don’t know. Depending on what kind of car he drives, 34 may even have UAW tendencies because he will drive right over somebody’s ass

I’ll never forget that game. I watched it with my brother who went to Tennessee. I’ll never forget the slack jawed look on his face with Herschel ran over Bates like an old lady in a cross walk.

My Dad had a 57 Eldorado. The car had twin 4 barrels. She wasn’t quick off the line but she could motor when she got up to speed. He sold it in 1992 to an Auburn fan. He selected me as the designated delivery driver. At the time we had an infant son and my wife was pregnant with what would turn out to be our second son. Anyway she cut my beer and football budget to the bone. Part of the deal on the car was that we delivered it and we also got two tickets to the game. Glad to get them. I took my best friend. (other than my bride of course. 😉 Sat in the Auburn section. I heard their fans mumble… as we found our seats dressed in our Bulldog finery ” What The HELL is this!” War Eagle to ya guys I quipped on the way out. An older Auburn fan responded with: “Son you ain’t in Georgia just yet. Best if you tone it down.” Yikes! We road back with friends. Eldorado haven’t thought about that car in years.

One Play Away Ray… catches a break!

And the best part may have been that an Aubie got a Cadillac that gets closer to 5 miles/gallon rather than 15 miles/gallon

Auburns contention that they got screwed on that play has always been malarky.. Just another example of a Georgia win being “Dawg-graded”..(Note the caption on the top of the video). The fumble comes at the 25 sec mark on the video…the clock runs out at 37 or 38. That’s not an inordinate amount of time to tick off. It was one of the few bright spots in Goffs time at the helm. Thanks for posting it…AHD..

Congrats as always, Senator. Though to be honest, you did have some hot button topics such as unions that just took on a life of their own. You do a great job of finding the topics we like and summarizing them.
