Coach Red Bull

This is pretty funny.

Richt said he makes sure to drop by Ekeler’s office once a day “just to get some positive vibes, you know. Sometimes (Mike) Bobo and (Jeremy) Pruitt, they’re down about something. Ekeler, hopefully it’s not against NCAA rules, but he’s got a refrigerator, he’s got a lifelong deal with Red Bull. He’s got a Red Bull refrigerator. They send him cases of Red Bull whenever he asks for it. I think something happened at Nebraska. They called him Coach Red Bull and they gave him a lifetime supply.”

And remember, last season Ekeler coached with Ed Orgeron.  Talk about your epic quantities of Red Bull consumption.  I wonder how many holes they put in the walls of Southern Cal’s coaches’ offices.

Yikes! I never met Ekeler, but I’d bet he makes coffee nervous if he’s drinking Red Bull to that extent.

“I think something happened at Nebraska.”

I was thinking it was “In Cold Blood” but that was Kansas

Is Coach Ek our version of that crazy sob that coaches Bama’s S&C??

If Ek is coach Red Bull, what is Richt? Coach Tab?

A buddy of mine is a coach of a 2015 recruit. He told me about this a few weeks ago. I laughed. I think we need to change it to Surge or Vault and then Coke can bring one of those back

In his office? On campus? I noticed that he had “a Red Bull refrigerator”comment as separate from “They send him cases of Red Bull whenever he asks for it.”. No one said those cases went into the reefer in his office. Clever.

Here he is at another school with primary red as one of school colors, so he may retain all the glory inherent in the name, but I do think he should share the name with Gurley.

I really am partial to beers with differing tastes and Red Stripe is one, but I’ve never tasted Red Bull. Anyone tasted it?
