The grading scale strikes me as a good idea. Other than benefiting the schools, what’s the rationale for limiting the number of applicants to five? Doesn’t strike me as being in the interests of the players.
Technically, in the libertarian sense I suppose, it isn’t in the best interest of the players.
From a practical standpoint, the numbers most likely show that it is in their interests.
Do you think players who don’t make the five will stay in school or are they more likely to take a chance and go out early with no objective opinion on their draft status?
I’m not sure. I guess I don’t understand the new rule enough as well.
