Buffet away.
- Berry Tramel hints pretty strongly that Big Game Bob cut a deal with Dorial Green-Beckham that the kid would indeed play a season with Oklahoma before going pro. Of course, there’s not really much Stoops could do other than complain if Green-Beckham reneged.
- Penis.
- Cringeworthy comment from Bobby Petrino: “With the experiences I’ve had, I can help young men with the obstacles they are going to be presented with off the field, with the situations that are going to come up; to be able to help them and give them a second chance.”
- Saban’s not above throwing a few players under the bus. Wonder which of them made the call to kick the field goal in the Iron Bowl.
- Bert has his moments.
- Patrick Garbin finds that during the Richt era, Georgia has made a habit of failing to track Phil Steele’s forecasting statistics.
- And John Pennington shows that in the case of defensive points allowed, Georgia followed a general conference trend.

Steele still hasn’t figured out Georgia is the only team who willingly starts second/third stringers in key positions throughout the season.
Applying the Georgia factor would increase his accuracy significantly.

Senator,
How can we justify playin fla in Jville & having the ‘Buffet away’ too on the same schedule??

Re: the Saban comments…I think there was one player in particular that started the mud slinging. That particular player called out the young uns and the young uns bucked up and said he wasn’t much of a leader.
I think the Saban comments are aimed at that and I don’t have a problem with it.

BD. I like you. What is the best Bama blog? Lookin forward to playing you guys in BD. My daughter is a bama grad with season tickets I got when she was there and I transferred them to her. Best tailgaiting ever on Quad.

To be honest, I don’t read too any CFB blogs other than GTP. There’s only so much I can take. 🙂
I suppose Roll Bama Roll is the best one. I do read BOL as well, but you have to pay for most of that.
I’m one year away from sending a daughter off to college. She wants to go anywhere but Bama. Imagine that. 🙂

She should reconsider BD seriously. I bleed red and black but my daughter had a great experience at Bama. I Rolll Tide when UGA is not involved…….

I’d say there’s no way Steele’s predictions can keep being wrong. Then again, Ron Courson’s workload may be more than we would expect this year too.

Ed Tolley’s workload, too.

Petrino has some balls on him–cringe worthy is right. I saw Bobby talking about Grantham being an “expert” last night. I cringed then too. If by expert he means ‘getting the defense to run around like a Benny Hill sketch pre-snap’, he is right on the money.

Grantham is an expert on getting paid, I will give him that.

The newest crop of UGA recruits (and Mr Taylor) are happy to read that Big Game Bob loves to give second and even third chances.
I suggest all recruits put together a WhatsApp group with Bob, Todd and Gus for a quick updates of any pending arrest, dismissal or transfer.
Sorry, couldn’t resist. I know that the newest group is different.

As for Big Game Bob’s move, I think that is a reasonable bet, he just may get a year out of DGB. I know he was the #1 rated receiver coming out of HS two years ago but he wasn’t even the number 1 receiver on Mizzou’s team last yet. I don’t think in his two years there he showed he was a top round NFL draft choice, perhaps showed the potential to be that, but combined with his character issues he may need a year at OU to show he belongs among the elite. I saw a lot of receivers that looked better than him in CFB the last two years.
I just hope the NCAA makes him sit out a year, cannot think of a reason they are even considering not following the rules of transfer.

Oh, Bob. Just shut up already. If I didn’t already despise OU, I would now.
It’s a shame that the old bowl system is gone and the ACC v SEC Peach Bowl is (more or less) no more.

Jonathan Taylor, say hello to Bobby Petrino. You have something in common with him. Check the boxes for character and class.
Most interesting article with historical table of Ds re conferences and early players leaving SEC for NFL plus the teams going to no huddle, hurry-up O’s, and the spread offense. Will agree with most of that. But there was no footnote for Dawgs’ D coaching the past 2 years and players suspended and dismissed from the roster. Surely, that ante the percentage up a bit.

You can throw Phil Steele or anyone else’s number crunching stats out the door when it comes to Dawg football. If anything the team will chart in the opposite direction that’s predicted
