And, now, from the SEC Network!

Tell me Nick Saban’s gonna have time for this shit:

Film Room –  every week sit down with a different head football coach in the SEC for an exclusive film session, breaking down the X’s and O’s of game footage

Ironically, it’s one of the few things they’re broadcasting that I’d be interested in watching.

This does sound like some good programming content. I am also looking forward to all the old games they are planning to air leading up to the season. I have the DVR set to record Auburn and Florida from 2007 and South Carolina from 1980.

Field Street Forum has the schedule posted.

Yes, that may be something I’d watch. I’ll have to give it a shot.

I can promise I’ll never watch Finebaum and I can promise I’ll probably never miss a Film Room.

Hard to say what I will watch, other than live football and some replays, but I am definitely down with ignoring the 3-7 PM FBomb time spot. Isn’t a chance I ever tune that show in. If they end up having some intelligent analysis of CFB before, and after, Saturday’s games I would watch that for sure. Given their hiring so far it is unlikely they will have people I respect enough to listen to their analysis/picks either.

Other than that, it will be a rare baseball game and lingering for a couple of minutes on girl’s volleyball occasionally for me. Without the limited CFB pieces above, I doubt I watch 10 additional hours all year.

It’s a state of Alabama show, and not representative of the SEC. I can’t believe ESPN is letting him continue that stupid format. SEC football talk radio would a good thing, and with some objectivity Finebaum would be good at it. But not the Saban-worshipping, everything through crimson glasses, Jerry Springer-like antics of Finebaum, who believes his redneck callers actually entertain people outside the state of Alabama.

What I hate is people around the country will think this is the way it is for all SEC schools, not just Alabama and Auburn. Every SEC school has their rednecks, but nothing like the Finebaum Bammers. Alabama rednecks, closely followed by Auburn, are at a level by themselves.

I hope the FBomb show bombs.

But lingering for a couple of minutes on girl’s volleyball will show them that we have much more pageant talent than does the B!G Network girl’s volleyball lineup

It already has outside the state of Alabama, hard to see how the SEC, or ESPN doesn’t get that. Their measuring stick must be the number of callers who live their life around it never noticing it is just the fans of two schools. It is a bad representation of SEC fans, wasn’t so bad when it was just on local radio. Hope they put more thought into who they utilize for the news and discussions.

Saban is going to do it .. think he’s first up too

Heard McElroy talking about this on that new XM/91 radio show. He said that he had like 3 plays picked out that Saban had agreed to, but Saban called him the night before they were to film & pulled all three plays because they showed too much.

Saban instead provided film for 3 plays that he chose …

You read it here first: To avoid the film session, saban will appoint kiffin as head coach for a day.
