Tennessee decides one meteor game a year isn’t enough.

On the other hand, at least a Jancek-Martinez defense has an even chance against the genius.

Lots of history there. It would be good to see them play, though you’re right about it being a meteor game. The CFB fan in me says it’s a good thing. The Dawg fan in me hopes they can both lose.

This is great!!! 2 of Georgia’s rival teams that aren’t good enough to play in a post-season bowl playing in a pre-season bowl game and…one of the has to lose!!🙂

I doubt Willy Two Thumbs and his sidekick will still be there in 2017 but if they are you have to give them credit for stopping Fish Fry’s offense every year they were here.

2008 Fish Fry’s first season. Co champ ACC(snicker)
Brother Chan had lost 6 in a row to the Dawgs( history making) and then they Jim Donnaned him.

Tech tears up our beloved hedges and waves the branches at the crowd.
Wee Willy lasted one more year and then we hired “Mr. 3rd and Long is Money” who went on to make history of his own. Most yards allowed, most points allowed, most 3rd and longs allowed and showed us where the I in team was located.

Good to see Georgia Tech finally having the opportunity to sell out a home opener. Bless their hearts.

Plus, Dragon*Con is within walking distance.

It’ll give Willy Mo the opportunity to re-visit the town of his past glory. The last possession of the 2009 Georgia-GT game was the site of one of the quintessential trademark “Willy-stops” of his Georgia tenure, when Bebe Thomas dropped the pass on the final down even though he was wide ass open and well past the first down marker. Had Bebe caught the ball and Tech gone on to score as they surely would have barring another unforced error, Tech would have won 31-30 and Georgia fans would have of course…BLAMED BOBO.

I hated all the criticism directed at Bobo. At one point I thought the Eeyore Dawgs might just succeed in running him off. Thankful they didn’t go full out Fire Ron Zook on him.

Amen, it was a tough fight back in 2008-2010 trying to convince people that when you were losing games 38-34, playcalling was not the highest on your list of problems.

  5. 2 Thoughts:

So: UGA v FSU in ’16 is still on the table?

’17? Might that be the first college game in Stankonia Dome?

  6. Georgia Tech yellow and UT orange on the same field will be blinding. I think I will have to pass on watching this one.

  7. What fresh hell is this?

Hey, you can’t do that…GT is our big 5 non-con whipping boy
