So it turns out Saturday’s GTP tailgate was a real thing.
The Montana gang showed up in full force. All, it goes without saying, damned good Dawgs.
Hoppy is the gentleman sporting those super bad Italian restaurant tablecloth shorts.
We had a nice turnout of around thirty or forty folks throughout the afternoon.
Security was not called.
Seriously, it was a real treat getting an opportunity to put faces and monikers together. A good time was had by all.
Thanks to all who showed up to share in the festivities, especially those who travelled great distances (besides Hoppy and his posse, we had another guest who made it in from Dallas, Texas).
Us country folks appreciate the effort. Dare you to do it again and next time we won’t let the beer go undrunk. Think they would let you tailgate this weekend? Plenty of room.
Great to meet Hoppy, his paisano pants and his friends. More.

I had a good time! I just wish I would’ve met a few more fellow commenters. Hopefully this becomes an annual thing.

I walked around the lot but couldn’t find the tent. I may have been a little inebriated which could have contributed to the fact I was unable to locate it…

Bluto strikes me as an Apple kinda guy. There is app for the I phone called AgriPlott (0.99). We use it a lot to get rough idea of the lay of things when doing due diligence or land planning. No one should wander around lost if they have a smart phone. ☼

Well done Senator! That is very cool. Cosmic Dog once wrote here about how nice it was to form a kind of digital comraderie via the keyboard and now you’ve taken it a step further! It’s great that you’ve expanded the Dawg brand into Montana! McGarity would be proud.
Excuse the thread hijack but after under going an open longitudinal incision medial to the Achilles tendon to repair my ruptured Achilles, I couldn’t help but notice the foot gear worn by our guests from Montana. Con cuidado amigos! Tomorrow is two weeks and into a cast for two more. Recovery time 6 months. When listening to my wife and son discuss my surgery, pre-surgery, I almost decided to just walk with a limp. Spitting the tendon, debridement, borrowing a toe tendon, staple, blah, blah, blah… yikes.

The day was a high life in my life. Thanks to everyone who popped by, introduced themselves and told stories. Much thanks to The Senator for lining this up. There were A LOT of smiles when people met him…A LOT. The HUGE UGA win was the perfect ending to a perfect day. Gratzi, y’all!

Thanks for postin the pictures Senator–although I still won’t be able to pick you out of a crowd. Guess I’ll just have to try and get there some Saturday.
Looks like it was a blast.

Wow, only a Hoppy pimp could really have rocked that belt buckle. Or maybe Todd Gurley.

Senator we came over to the lot and tried to find y’all, but weren’t smart enough to figure out where you were. Oh well. Sad we missed it though.
Go Dawgs!

Sorry I missed it. The popo got me for possession and public urination while driving a scooter. Maybe next time.

Was great to meet some of you guys. And again, Senator, I respect the heck out of how good this blog is.
I’d like to echo 165’s comment above. I know you may not want people intruding on your crew that much, but an annual event would be awesome.
