Vanderbilt may have the 11th ranked rushing defense in the conference, but you have to admire Caleb Azubike’s approach.
Of course, that approach is part of the reason the Commodores are ranked 11th in rushing defense.

Let’s check back with Caleb on Sunday morning about that.

I noticed the bottom two teams in rushing D are the cocks and vols. The common factor is they have both played us. I hope that is a trend that continues and that every team we play falls in this stat after facing the Dawgs.

Yes, after a pattern of making the Cromptons of the world look like Joe Montana, having that sort of statistical trend in the team’s wake would be a very welcome occurrence.

That would be my kind of of Dawgrading right there. Good observation.

Or, you know, NOT tackle as the case may be.

Senator, you let Caleb play this game the way he wants to.

Caleb loves the smell of cleat marks on his helmet in the afternoon. And a stiff-arm to the face as he grabs air. These intimate moments in CFB will be brought to you by a Gurley, the one with dreadlocks that you grow to hate.

The fundamentals may be the seem but you might want to dial up the status to Code Red. And I wouldn’t take it down a notch when Chubb is in as he gets a rest. Not sure this approach is the one I would have chosen regarding TG if I were trying to prepare my Vandy defense. Plus, you may run the risk that Todd takes that as being called “common”, the only thing worse than being faced with the task of limiting him is being faced with limiting an inspired/motivated TG.

I can’t open the link to see exactly what he said but I’m sure it’s the same approach most any coach or players takes. Or at least you try to convince yourself of it. Finding disrespect in that is just looking for disrespect.

Vandy stop Gurley? Most of the people this delusional are in a hospital somewhere.

What were Gen. Custer’s last words?

Likely, “ouch” or “agghhhh” or “damn, that hurts.” Same as Vandy defenders this weekend, I suspect.

tecnnically a “last words” would be the last intelligible words. ie: “oh shit!”

Actually he said, “Have you ever seen so many pissed off Indians?”
Preceeding the actual battle he told his troops, “don’t take any prisoners, men”. They didn’t.

He probably doesn’t need it, but I hope Todd sees that.

I’ve enjoyed seeing someone go out of their way to jaw at him, near the beginning of every game, just before he proceeds to run through, around and over them and their entire D.

Apparently no one has been smart enough to try and put action to it before words.

He just summoned Angry Todd for this Saturday

Our coaches resting Gurley is the only thing to slow him down to date. What makes the young lb think it will be any different Saturday?
