We could have enjoyed numerous days like this in the last 7-8 years if we’d have had the kind of defense we had today. So many of our shootout wins and losses could have been blowouts. Oh well damn proud of this team. The Richt haters need to stfu, a bad coach does not have a team that responds to adversity like that. So glad all hat no cattle Grantham is gone.

Mayor–In light of our dismantling of Mizzou, and SC’s loss at Kentucky (and at home to Mizzou), is Richt still behind Spurrier and Pinkel in terms of coaching? Also, Mora losing to Utah and Shaw losing to ND last weekend would seem to hurt your argument that they’re clearly better than Richt.

In fact I posted several times that I hoped Chubb and Mason would surprise us. And I guess that’s what happened though Mason surprised me a lot more. I’ve said Chubb is a beast.
Sorry for being upset that my favorite UGA player in my memory is getting screwed by a dumb rule. Just because I don’t have blind optimism and some do doesn’t make anyone a better or worse fan. I’ll eat crow when someone shows me a post where I said a negative thing about any player or wanted the team to lose. In fact by last night when I’d heard the rumored extent of Gurley’s autograph signing with guys other than the UF fan scum I started to accept it and put my trust in Chubb.
I will eat crow on being quick to judge on Gurley’s suspension but I’ve never been less a UGA team fan than most on here. And if you can show me where anyone predicted a game like this then they need to get off this blog and move to Vegas.
Good game all around and while I enjoyed it I’ll be worried about a letdown vs arky. I grew up with Dooley and Munson. I’m a worrier/pessimist but I still pull for the team. So there’s your mea culpa.

I am still shocked about how well the secondary played. Coverage was tight today-even by the linebackers. I don’t remember anyone running free and the front four got good pressure consistently. And, when you’re in position, turnovers happen.
Langley came to play-he is a natural db. Glad he started and gets to redeem himself after his benching for 75% of last season.

That’s one of the reasons (and there are many) I’m glad we cleaned house with the defensive staff. A fresh start for a great athlete like 33. Its amazing how much more we substitute defenders and mix and match until we find the right fit of personnel.

Mea freaking culpa to the admin and MR. I overreacted to not having all the info and now see they did the right thing. I sure as hell wasn’t the only one upset and I never insulted the team or players or wanted them to lose.
In the end I’ll do my best to stop Dawg on Dawg crime as long as I’m not being insulted or misrepresented. Can we all do that please?

FWIW I’ve had a shit week of which the highlight was the Dawgs win today. So to log on here and have people rubbing my face in a victory that I wanted and having never said different and being told I’m not a fan was a bit of a breaking point for me. Man, I am proud of the Dawgs today. All this hubub about Gurley and lo and behold, we discover that we got ourselves a defensive coordinator. Full team game today. I am going to go back and re watch it.

The good news is that next week we face a team that will be looking for their first SEC win in 16 games. The bad news is…. we face a team that will be looking for their first SEC win in 16 games. At their place, probably at night, with us coming off this high. Might take a lot of mental coaching but this team seems to be pretty good in that area this season. Credit due to coaches and the right players still on the team save for Gurley.
Damn what a game! I know someone will tell me to become an auburn fan but my only complaint is the we didn’t convert TOs for nuthin’ and beat them 49-0 like we should have. I just want to go back to Atl and we’re gonna have convert some of those. Probably against auburn when were force them into 3 turnovers. Marshall is good but you can force him into mistakes and our D has done it all year. The DL has become good enough that they free everyone else up. That’s helped the secondary and somehow the secondary seems to keep improving. We aren’t chasing quite as much. Of course it helps when the team you’re playing has no run game but this had been going on all year. Maybe I took a few sips of the Kool aid. Thank Jesus for answering my prayers for the reintroduction of the TE. Blazevich looks like he could be a real Bagdad.

My Bama friend was about ready to jump off a bridge halfway thru their game with arky tonight. I hope we can hold up against their run game. Only time will tell. Still can’t believe how many times Chubb carried it today. He hasn’t taken TG3s place in my heart yet but he’s a beast.
Sure wish we had Michel to help spell him. Douglas is a man and a DGD but Michel was looking like what we hoped KM would be before injuries screwed him. Maybe even a bit better vision and ability to run thru tackles.

I already expected Arkansas to be tough and I don’t really feel any more or less. Crazy how it’s flipped for Bama. It’s their D that is championship good while the O looks stale. Certainly in their two losses. Kinda hard to take away much else when Arkansas should have won but then Bama ‘s O has been kinda inept, IMO. Arkansas could come out mad and focused or as mentally beat up as they are physically. I’m predicting a 13-10 old school win….but that means it’ll be 38-32. Followed by a much needed break before Flar-duh.

Yeah…missed the first trip to Mizzou, most of last season and the last two Florida games so I’m trying to make up. Got family in Arkansas and today made aTm the only SEC school I haven’t seen the Dawgs play at.
Other than my cousin, Arkansas folks are good people. They just don’t tailgate for anything.

Idk bro. Someone retweeted me his tweet where he said he had gotten several texts by “reputable” sources that TG3 would be reinstated by Ark but I have no clue if this guy is some hack. He does have a website on Bleacher Report or one of those sites but I’ve no clue if he’s legit or what. I tweeted the Senator to see if he’d heard of the guy but I’m sure he won’t see it til tomorrow. As far as Bryan Allen goes I hope we can all agree he’s a POS.

So watching the game yesterday, I kept waiting for Mizz to Man up and see if Hutson tried a deep ball. But man, those corners were always 10 yards off the line. Some times more than that. It is like they were going to make damn sure nothing got behind them. Just an observation.
