Color me a little surprised. Yesterday’s traffic here at the blog surpassed the day the Montana Project was introduced to the world to become the busiest day ever at GTP (33,297 hits).
After all these years, maybe I’m starting to figure out how to push your buttons.
so you’re saying you’ve become Paul Finebaum for people with IQs above room temperature? Mazel tov!!!!

Geez, I hadn’t thought of it like that. I wonder who our Phyllis from Mulga is.

That’s easy, that Thomas Brown idiot.

are you taking applications? I figure your higher IQ audience would appreciate my subtle snark the way Finebomb’s appreciates Phyllis’s unhinged anger. Have your people call my people!

People come for the nice helping of hope–hope of new of Gurley’s return and Wagers departure. Kinda hard to go wrong there.
Oh, and this is the best college football blog hands down. There is always that.

This blog is always my first stop of the day getting my Georgia Footbaw fix and I come back numerous times a day. I have been coming by and posting since almost the beginning, but am very seasonable. During the season I am in 4-5 times a day at least, after signing day and before fall practice I am by maybe just 2-3 times a month. As others have said, best Dawg blog on the intertubes by a wide margin.

No single post had a 200+ comments, but you still had all that traffic, eh? I guess there was a lot of lurking going on.

You’ve created a digital Town Hall for DawgNation, Senator, and it’s only fitting that you become wealthy from it. Please don’t consider an inversion when you review your tax strategy. Stay here in Georgia where you can keep your finger on the rapidly-beating pulse. And when Warren Buffett starts dropping by your tailgate spot on game days, please drop a few stock hints our way. 🙂

With well over 1M hits annually I would think the ad revenue would be over $100k+ annually, but I know nothing of how all that works or how much is paid for each hit. Either way, I enjoy this blog and whatever money you make is deserved. Thanks for all of the heavy lifting and commentary.

Trust me, it’s nowhere close to that. Not that I’m complaining. I blog because I enjoy it.

Not to kiss your ass Senator but after the old ABH forums where we used to have a lively crowd and knowledgeable posters I haven’t found a UGA site or blog that is worth a crap other than this one. Congrats on your success. You definitely earn it.

Has anyone ever heard Wagers on that local sports talk show over in the Charleston area? He calls in often like he’s some sort of celebrity and really eats up all the attention he gets from the hosts.
Maybe it’s just me, but refs shouldn’t be doing stuff like this and I’m guessing he’s the only one. For that reason alone he shouldn’t be a ref, given its clear he like to insert himself in games and be the center of attention.

Maybe there’s more to Penn Wagers than meets the eye. No. There’s not. There’s less. … I’ve looked into his eyes. He’s pure evil.

The reason most of us are here is because your NOT pushing any buttons ,it is the Joe Friday approach..”Just the Facts”. You pick subjects the comments push buttons. You just pick the right/interesting subjects. Intentionally pushing buttons is for the AJC.

It is being bandied about amongst several SEC fans I know that Penn Wagers will be fired at the end of the season. Supposedly, it will be phrased as a “retirement”, but the upshot of it is he will be out on his ass.
Please God, let this be true…
