I just hope it works.
Filed under Gators, Gators..., Georgia Football
This has been awful to watch. 13 points and 385 yds. 38 points and 451 yds.
Pruitt’s inexperience as an SEC DC really showed. He was clearly afraid to dare Florida to pass the ball. They spread the field and shifted one man into the wing and outflanked us the whole game. A 4-2 front will get you mauled against a line that big and quick.
At what point does he realize that they’re running the same four or five plays over and over again and that is the game plan? After the game ends, is that when he figures it out? We should have been daring them to throw from the start of the game.
I haven’t been as frustrated watching a game since Quincy threw 5 picks in Columbia, Excruciating…
Probably the most depressing and frustrating game in Richt’s tenure….unexplainable
Insider post, so there’s a paywall, but it’s hard not agree with this. http://insider.espn.go.com/blog/travis-haney/post?id=3813
Six passes. How do let them do that? Said one coach quoted in the article, “I don’t even know how that happens.” How does it happen???? I’m mystified too, and I love Coach Richt as much as anyone. No one lets US run for 418 yards with mediocre running backs while only throwing six passes.
Georgia Southern beat da Gators without completing a pass. so it can be done and has.
Blech. I hate Fla. They win the gae and the boobie prize. Muschamp remains the coach.
Still not sure how a team with such a pitiful offense could crush us like that.
HM is a good kid, but he is not built to bring us back in games like that.
Here is hoping we can spoil Auburn’s season.(well, Beat KY first)
Beware my friend. This isn’t a blog that appreciates the truth.
Been saying Hutson is Joe T in disguise for a while, but I don’t know as much as the Senator…
Glad I went to work today.
Yup… At least I made some money today, Would’ve given up the dollar’s fit he win…. Hurts my heart. When will we cords he bridge? When will we win game’s that we sgould? Can richt? Can bobo? Can pruitt?….. Or….. Should I just work….. Wear my uga colors and always represent…. I don’t know why I want it so bad. But damn…. I mean…………….. Damn
Also…. Autocorrect on this new keyboard makes me look like I can’t spell. I’m dumb in multiple ways. Don’t let the degrees fool you. Gluten for punishment here
Boom staying would be the only good thing to come out of this awful game. We seemed to be rolling after kickoff, but then fell completely apart. Nobody seemed prepared. Hope we have some deep receivers coming in for next year. Plus some O-linemen, D-linemen, D-backs, etc. And why the heck ain’t Ramsey getting some snaps at the end of the game?
Why hasn’t Ramsey been getting snaps in every game?
+1 Mason’s unwillingness to let fly was a definite problem while the game was still in doubt
No one is more depressed at this game than I am. Maybe Pruitt is…I hope. But I agree Mason looked indecisive many times resulting in sacks from his hesitation but the kid did hit 317 yards against a pretty fair secondary. It’s what he’s called on to execute that’s the problem…was Bobo anticipating a cakewalk?? Keep tryingDawgs…the brass ring’s still out there for us…..did everyone see Auburn..the luckiest team i CFB?
I did not expect this outcome…but I’m not surprised. What the #@%$ did Ga work on at practice for the last 2 weeks?
Sure as hell weren’t game planning or practicing tackling. Just a total failure in all facets of the game. I’m trying to be more Disney but that game was like a three hour kick in the nuts.
We spent a lot of time working on the UF passing game…held ’em to only 27 yds passing…
That game was a total abortion.
Boy, do we miss Murray…
Hutson, I’m sure you’re a fine young man, but you’re not an SEC level QB. But then, no part of our game was more than mid conference level.
Hutson doesn’t block and tackle–that’s where the game was lost. That and the team not being ready to play. Whose fault is that?
No, and he doesn’t lead his team or carry them on his back. Murray did that many times. In great measure, we lost because we have no down field passing game. Who’s fault is that?
Yeap, the game was winnable until the 4th down failure at the goal line. Make that and who knows, maybe the D comes out for the next series with some pep and not a fuck you Offense attitude.
What right did the defense have to tell the offense to eff off?
They were pants’ed and clowned all. fucking. game.
The D had made a few stops at that point. Not saying the D is without issue because they definitely are, but I am sure the D was eager to get back out there after the failure that iced the game.
+1 not a leader, at least not like Murray was
Who is a leader like Murray, Mike? You’re comparing a first year starter to the SEC all-time TD leader.
And 4th all time in picks
BS. He is 14th, and he is 2nd all time in pass attempts.
So while I watched Mason dance around with happy feet for 4-5 seconds on plays where he was sacked , all the while the entire room I was in was yelling “Throw it! Throw it! Throw it away! Throw it anywhere!” that obviously had nothing to do with his decision making.
I don’t miss 101 yds – 1 pick and losing to Vandy “Sniffer”. Maybe your head coach isn’t SEC caliber??
Both Auburn and Georgia Tech will fuck us up if we play like this, and Kentucky beats us, too. Damn, what a disappointment.
I’m working on a conspiracy theory that the self proclaimed huge gator fan memorabilia dealer had this in mind when he targeted Gurley and the FSU kid. Tries to set up the two best players on the two teams the gators want to beat the most. I hope FSU smokes them.
Florida blocked better, Florida tackled better, and that’s how you win a football game. I hope we get it together for the Auburn game.
I hope we get it together for Kentucky.
I don’t want to lose to Kentucky but the Auburn game is the most important game of the season. For me, at least. If we only win one more game, I want it to be Auburn.
Because fuck Auburn.
No sir.. as my hate for Auburn is very strong, tech must not beat us. My hatred for them “burns with the fires of a thousand suns”
Well said Bright Owl. Agree, totally.
Yeah. Didn’t help losing the starting center for a good bit of the game when he makes the line adjustments.
We expect the Dawgs under CMR to brain fart at least once a year. Sad that it was our most hated rival.
THIS is Georgia football.
Yeah. I thought we’d gotten that one out of the way in Columbia but I guess I was wrong.
Georgia football — settin’ you up just to let you down. Since 1981.
Yep. We were due to shit the bed and today was the day. That’s not to say they can’t do it again this season. I’m sure they’ve got it in them.
Where’s the Bobo hate?
Don’t think Bobo called all that bad of a game. The poor execution and dropped passes killed us. Defense and special teams looked pitiful as well.
Yeah it’s the same story its been since Van Gorder left our offense has no margin for error. If they don’t light up the scoreboard for at least 40 we are highly likely to lose. We all knew Florida had a good defense. They are very legit on defense but Florida’s offense is terrible but they ran like Lombardi’s Packers today. Florida’s offense was truly Beyond Crompton today. I am hopeful and have seen some positives from Pruitt this year but this was a big step back for them. On a positive note I now feel good about the Auburn game. We’ll probably beat them now because we are Georgia and that’s how we roll. Go Dawgs. I’d rather be a Bulldog in defeat than a Gator in victory any day.
thank you sir. Good Post. Very frustrating today. Calls and Momentum have been with FLA all week. Just Damn.
Oh yeah. Real good game plan by Bobo. Knew it was rock solid as soon as I saw Mason under center. #14 couldn’t have started Friday night for Clarke Central…
Lot of real talented receivers on our team looking pretty pedestrian right now.
That’s ridiculous. Is Mason great? No. But OSU won a national title and sniffed another with Craig Krenzel. LSU won a NC with. QB that then decided to skip his Sr. year to go to dental school.
You can win without great QB play if you can manage the game. We lost because finally the drop off from Chubb to Douglas showed, because Richt coached scared and mismanaged a game yet again, and because Florida responded when they saw that we weren’t going to put them away earlier.
But blaming Mason is weak sause. This one, as much as any in a long time, falls directly on Filed Gial Jesus.
Drop off from Chubb and Douglas? Chubb ran for 150 yds and had another 50 receiving. We lost because we couldn’t set the edge, tackle or stop the run. We barely had the ball in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Unless Gurley was going to play LB or Safety, not sure how much of a difference he would have made. They ran for 418 yds and threw the ball 6 times
When Chubb was out of the game, we couldn’t run and couldn’t sustain drives. That would be the definition of a “drop off”, no?
Who ARE you?
It doesn’t appear Bobo was even Jacksonville. Plain awful.
We looked absolutely terrible in all phases of the game! Out coached and out played, but the thing that upsets me the most (other than the final score and being woefully unprepared) was that we knew UF would rely heavily on running the football and Harris wasn’t a passing threat, yet we couldn’t figure out how to stop a one dimensional rushing offense with a freshman QB – absolutely no excuse especially with two weeks to prepare!
Yeah. It was about as ugly as watching that kid at UK just run the wildcat down South Carolina’s throat for like three straight drives.
Get used to seeing that, ’cause we’ll be looking at that very thing all night long in Lexington next week.
I’m already scared to death about it. Stoops has got that team playing with attitude and they even have a bit of talent now.
Some nap before the game. Really weird dream where UGA was wearing blue and gators in red, but we just ran the ball down their throat anyway and won. Hmmph.
So, is it game time yet or do I have time to fix a snack?
Also in your dream, didn’t the refs give us (blue team) a ton of huge breaks, such as setting the pick on a would-be tackler, allowing us to run for the longest play of ours for the year, blowing a field goal call early, not t mention, we were getting away with holding (on the perimeter, no less..) all game long.. It was incredible..
Georgia mailed it in, no doubt…but have you ever seen a game where every damn break and call went for one team? It was awful. From the confusion over the first fg (one ref called it good) to the no call on roughing the punter, the no holding call on Fl’s fake FG, to the no-review of a UGA touchdown that I think was a catch. The two point conversion where the Fl defender was holding Chubb’s facemask….and the worst of all the homer assholes who called the game.
The whole thing just sucked CMR was outcoached and outsmarted by Boom. Georgia looked really unprepared. I wonder if they were overconfident. I knew Florida was a hungry and dangerous team that hadn’t caught a break all year…but now they’ve caught up on the breaks against Georgia.
Kentucky looks daunting.
Yea, I did a few weeks ago against Mizzou. Literally every time they could have gotten back into it something happened. We had 2-3 fumbles that bounced back to us. The botched punt return where the ref called the fumble due to the catcher being ran into was a bad call and went against them.
This is what it is, a team that thought it was really good due to 2 good weeks of football.
I hope at least that’s it’s been a good party for the Dawg fans who made it to Jax. Come back, Lindsay Scott.
Why did Muschamp change QBs? Even Driskel can hand off 50 times, complete 3 of 6 passes for 27 yards, and fumble.
Probably the team had lost confidence in Driskel. The change worked.
Yeah. The OL did their best job of blocking and the RBs were beasts.
We were out coached and out played by THIS UF team the week after the first ever playoff committee rankings were released. We are still just a middle-of-the-road SEC team. Ala falls apart in the Shula era then is resurrected by Saban and wins 3 NCs – AU wins one NC w/ Gene freaking Chizik then falls apart then almost wins the NC last yr with Malzahn. Spurrier still owns UGA. Mizzou wins the SEC east in their yr. Why can’t this UGA program get over the hump??? #frustrated
Dude, I understand your frustration but Auburn didn’t win a NC last year. That championship game had a 4th quarter.
Because the Athletic Department has a cultural acceptance of being better than average so long as you don’t embarrass them. Plus, mid you can be a Bible thumper to boot, it shields you from a lot of criticism.
Wouldn’t you say the team’s performance against FU was embarrassing?
I would, yes. It reeked of a Donnan-esqe performance the whole time. Donnan lost like that and got canned bc he was an a-hole. Richt loses like that and is safe bc he’s a Good Christian Man™.
I don’t agree that he’s a good man, but that’s a whole other subject.
+1,000 We have become a very “Donnan-esqe” team. We win the occasional big game but turn around and step on our ding dongs. Donnan’s coaching downfall was his inability to pick a DC. I think if CJP sticks around he might be able to turn ours around but I bet he wishes he and Jimbo could have gotten along better.
Are you somehow threatened by the man’s faith?
Get off the guy’s religion. I’m not happy either but his faith has nothing to do with this. He doesn’t push it on anyone and you shouldn’t use it against him in your disgust over a poorly played and coached football game.
Are you denying that he escapes criticism because there are some people that refuse to pile on because of his faith
I don’t care what he believes, but I refuse to not be objectively critical because of what he believes either.
As bad a coach as richt is, sadly, we cannot do any better because what coach in his right mind would come a place where his own athletic department screws him over repeatedly?
Mcgarity has to go , Don leebern needs to be ushered to Albany with no phone or email service. Richt has to go. Don’t even contemplate elevating bobo. We need a housecleaning from the top down.
There’s no way Gurley is playing anymore this year, and if i ever see Hutson mason throw another pass at uga, I will lob my tv into the front yard.
Mark richt has now lost to will muschamp, ron Zook and lane kiffin. He is no longer welcomed here.
Where, at your house?
+1 Dont go jumping off the bridge just yet, plenty of life left to live..
Please become a Tennessee fan.
Lighten up, Francis.
+a bunch …
We just lost to Ron Zook again… Another trademark, indescribable, zero energy loss.
Every year…a signature game where UGA doesn’t show up.
We have no consistency on defense every year. There’s your common thread. The best of offenses have off nights. Cam Newton’s crowd only scored 17 at Miss State the year Auburn won the MNC. Championship teams have defenses that can pick their offense up on a bad night. Ours never does. Its all on the offense with us. We can’t win games 14-13. If our offense sputters we find ourselves down 3 touchdowns by the time they get it going. Then we are one dimensional. This was a historically bad performance defensively against a historically bad Florida offense. Pruitt has given me some hope this year that he might get it turned around and I am still hopeful but this game is a big step backward for our defense. We don’t have the trophy cases that Alabama, LSU, Florida, and Auburn has in the last 10 years because we never play defense the way those teams do year and year out and certainly never play it the way those teams do in their championship years.
Guess Pruitt thought that UF really sucked so bad he did not need to coach. Grats on him for doing a good job so far, but WTF was that.
Pruitt was in no way good but Bobo had 1 TD until garbage time with a QB he had 5 years to coach up. How much time does Pruitt have with his team?
A QB with a dead arm…
Yeah. Bobo’s been making salad out of chicken shit all year long. And today. We were just chicken shit.
Making salad out of chicken shit, he was feeding the bird. 2 other QBs could have won the job but did they ever get an honest chance? or were CMR and Bobo loyah to a 5 year guy? Certainly there isn’t past evidence of UGA doing just that.
Agreed. I’m sure Hutson is a great kid and a DGD but we really should have just let him transfer when he threatened to a couple years ago. It’s not like he’s some hugely talented guy we just had to hold onto.
Mason had more than 300 yards and no interceptions. Chubb ran for 7.4 yards/carry. I’m not sure how that didn’t result in more points.
Florida, meanwhile, had 27 passing yards and 418(!) rushing yards. So it’s easy to see where their points came from.
I don’t know if you can blame Pruitt but our defense got blocked right off the field in this game.
Our offense never put them in a must pass position. Our defense cannot handle that. There was never any pressure on their offense after the 1st quarter.
Our defense can’t handle the second worst offense in the SEC? Florida has a good defense. There was a decent chance the offense would struggle some. The Florida offense is dog shit, and they ran for over 400 yards. Good teams shouldn’t do that to any halfway decent defense. To allow a shitty team to do it means you are either Eastern Michigan or woefully unprepared..
The team didn’t show up. We should all be used to that. Happens at least once, sometimes twice, per year and has the entire time CMR has been the HC at UGA with the sole exception being 2001.
They showed up last year in every game. The defense was awful, but they didn’t just pull a no show against anyone. Murray probably had more to do with that than the coaches though.
Mizzou, Bro. Mizzou.
They showed. They just turned it over too many times. It was nothing like this clusterfuck or the South Carolina game in 2012 or the second half of the LSU championship game.
Did anyone see where Pinkel laughed when he heard Florida beat the Dawgs?? He knew he’d just backed into the SEC East lead!!
Pinkle’s a good coach. So is Saban, Gus, Miles, Spurrier, Mullen, Freeze, it’s,really simple:’you’re not going to be the best team in your conference with arguable the 7th best game coach. Talent can’t overcome for that long. Richt made hey when the coaching talent in the league was down. Now it’s not, and things haven’t been the same since about 2004.
Tri, you left off Kevin Sumlin. plus I’m not sure that Mike Stoops isn’t a better coach than Richt, too. Just give him time.We all laugh at Brett Bielema but he won 3 conference championships in the Big 10. This year’s version of the Razorbacks is a whole lot better than Beliema’s first season. Let’s see how Arky does next season before deciding about him.
What have Kevin Sumlin and Mike Stoops done to make you think they’re good?
Much of that in garbage time and what ever the stats are. Boxscores don’t win games.
Bobo had 1 TD until garbage time.
I’m going to say this…and I believe it. If CMR really believes his punter was roughed (as it looked) and if the injury wasn’t an act…he should have raised hell until he was ejected from the game to show his team he has their back. I’d love to see the man show some emotion…this team doesn’t play with emotion and it’s his responsibility to fix it. He should have stood on the field and yelled in the refs face until he was ejected…because if he believed it then he had to believe his kids were being cheated.
That wouldn’t have changed the outcome of this game. It just would have made him look like a jackass. Like Coach BOOM!
These kids know that Coach Richt cares about them. Look at the way they talk about him after they leave. He doesn’t need to make an idiotic production on the field to convince anybody otherwise.
The punter wasn’t really roughed. It was all an act. The ref was staring right at the punter the whole time. The replay showed conclusively that nobody even touched him. It was a flop. I’m glad CMR didn’t make a fool of himself over that.
Me too. If that is the case. If not, then there was a lot of phoney acting…shouldn’t be part of the game.
Yep. They break your heart every year.
The rest of the season looks like this:
UK- Loss due to crying in our milk for sucking.
Cupcake U- Win and hey I bet we get to see that Ramsey kid play.
Tech- 50/50 win or loss, really depends on if the team gives a shit by then.
Shitbag bowl game- Low UGA fan turnout because who really gives a shit now that the playoffs are here.
Because we’ve never looked ugly at 6-2 and finished the season strong before.
Don’t overreact, we’re going to the Dome.
How exactly? Mizzou is one up on us and has no one left to play
make Orlando plans…again. Unless you mean the Dome for the Peach bowl
at A&M, at Tenn, and home vs. Ark.
Do you think those are all guaranteed W’s for Mizzou?
No. But they have to lose two of those, and I don’t see it.
Just one if we win out.
Are you saying that they have to lose two because we’re going to lose one more? That’s very possible.
But as it stands, we win the tie-break, so if we win out we only need Mizzou to drop one. I think they lose to A&M, and very possibly one of the others…
A&M struggled to beat Louisiana Monroe today. I don’t see Hill’s backup doing anything against Mizzou’s D.
+1 Mizzou is gonna go to the dome and lose by 50.
In a perverse sort of way it may be better for this Georgia team to not win the East and get embarrassed on national TV (even more than it was today) in the SECCG. Just let us get to 9 regular season wins and hopefully play a pissant Big 10 team (Minnesota, maybe?) in the Music City Bowl. That way the Dawgs might be able to post a 10 win season.
Well. As far as a bowl goes I just hope we don’t have to play Wisconsin or Michigan state for the umpteenth fucking time.
Or Central Florida. Or Boston College. Or West Virginia……..
Game sucked. Period. Our lighter front 7 are not built to defend a power running game, even if it comes from the spread.
No excuse for not getting Ramsey in the game late. Next year the excuse will be a green QB. As opposed to this year’s QB that cannot throw deep or with any zip *except when throwing it at the RB’s feet on a busted screen pass),
I agree with that as far as getting Ramsey some snaps. Why waste two damn years?
They defended Arkansas’ power game fine. Just decided to throwback to Donnan-era levels of shit “tackling” today.
This. I saw more ankle diving today than I can remember.
I hope we weren’t double crossed with Double Agent McGarity and his handling of Gurley.
Well. Foley knew his ass was gonna be getting a bit warm if he had to fire Chump so maybe his old buddy Greg did him a solid.
That effing umpire that couldn’t get his fat ass out of the way and picked Mauger on the long run should be fired.
Damn, just think how bad it could have been had Florida any capability or intent of passing the ball. We might as well have been playing 9 guys in the box and still got run over.
Hands down – the most embarrassing loss of the Richt era – USCe ’12 was on the road to a good team. We laid an egg against a lame duck coach and program.
I said to my wife after the game that we missed Aaron Murray tonight. The defense was an absolute disaster, and I understand Pruitt owned up to it.
My father and I said the same thing. When we were down 24 -7, Murray could have gotten us back in it with his arm and decision-making. That’s Mason’s problem, is he either knows where he is going with the ball, pre-snap, come hell or high water, or he dances around in the pocket with happy feet until he is sacked. Except for that one time earlier Kolton Houston did his man a solid on the speed rush, didn’t touch him, only for his man to be beat out by Hunter Long’s man who got to Mason first. What in the hell did I just watch? Couldn’t have been the same team I have been watching..
For the record, you are criticizing Bobo because his current QB didn’t live up to expectations that BOBO created with his previous QB.
You’re right, Mason is not Murray. But spend some time watching other QB’s across CFB….you’ll find that far more of them look like Mason than Murray.
Murray was an exception. If you want our QB to look that good every year, prepare to be disappointed.
two years ago, Murray was “a choker who couldn’t win the big game” to a lot of UGA fans. Now that he’s gone, suddenly he’s the collegiate Joe Montana. Hutson Mason couldn’t win the game by himself today, but neither could any other UGA player in history whose name wasn’t Herschel Walker. Today was an all around suckfest in all phases of the game.
Today was an all around suckfest in all phases of the game.
Yeah. I’m sure Mason is a DGD but he telegraphs some of his throws so badly that western union is considering suing him for unauthorized use of a patent.
Not western union, but maybe two soup cans connected by a string.
This was UT 2007 all over again.
All 3 areas of the game completely ineffective until garbage time to a team UGA should have won by 2 TDs.
It has likely cost us the same a clear path to the SECCG and national title.
What’s the common denominator since 2007?
How is it we get out coached and out played by a team that lost eleven of their last eighteen games? It seems the only two things we do consistently is underperform on the field and screw up off it. Those two things we can count on.
What happened to starters playing on Special Teams?
Wondering that myself.
We don’t give up a 30 yard run by a backup snapper on the fake FG I think the game doesn’t get out of hand as fast. That will haunt my dreams.
Agree. That play changed the momentum entirely.
Yup. That UF team was just looking to implode if something bad happened. Instead we gave them all the confidence they could want.
why did no one notice that the holder was not their regular holder and call a time out ? suspecting that something was up ?
After the game Muschump said that the Georgia ST gave them a certain “look” which was why FU faked the kick. In 2010 Spurrier said exactly the same thing about the plays where the Cocks successfully faked kicks. Maybe Richt should have the ST Co-ordinator study film so we never are in that “look” again…….wait…….Richt doesn’t HAVE a ST Co-ordinator.
Attention to detail…
Interesting. So we have a “tell” in our kick-defense formation. Sounds elementary, at least to us in the masses. Don’t we have a bright GA who would want to make a name for himself by taking this over? The same goes for monitoring the game clock near the end of the halves. If it ain’t your strong point, delegate it. We’ve got incredible numbers of people on the sidelines who aren’t in uniform. A team manager can keep up with the clock.
Wonderful example of holding on that play, as Swann and another were clearly being held.
Yup. Saw that too. Granted they didn’t really call it on either team but on a big play like that it would have been nice. They also need to make a rule where if fatass officials physically end up affecting a play then it should get called back.
Officials are part of the field…I have asked Umpires..they’re the principal offenders to move a bit…they always complied. S**t happens..it shouldn’t cause a complete disaster for the defense!
True enough. Gary and Vern were saying that the nfl umpires are on the opposite side of the line to avoid it tho.
Or roughing the kicker, or the good field goal they called missed in the first qtr, or the other tackling, I mean holding penalties they missed all game, even the completed two point conversion they botched in garbage time. The refs just plain sucked yesterday.
They sucked. But we knew they would. They always have and always will. SEC referees aren’t worth a tinker’s damn.
From my vantage point sitting in front of my tv … we were under prepared, out schemed, out coached and out played. #embarrassing
Your vantage point seems pretty clear to me…
Incredible, we missed the all time leading passer in the SEC. No fucking shit sherlock. We probably “missed” Gurley too.
Type something worthwhile some time, dipshit.
what a bummer of a game. just never took control of the field position and without it we were never in the game. Seemed like every drive started inside the 20 for us and every drive for them started at the 40. Just too much to overcome. Needed to win the TO battle and the field position battle and we wont neither.
Uhhhhhh……Is this where I get to say I told you?
Don’t you have a blog of your own to post your schtick? Bluto gets enough hits already.
Who is going to beat Mizzou?
Mizzou is not good. Every game they play is a coin flip.
They have a 12.5% chance of winning out.
We just need to beat UK.
The fact that this does not even surprise me is bothersome. My wife is pleasantly surprised that I didn’t raise a ruckus
OMG. You really just have to laugh, don’t you?
HONESTLY ask yourself: you kinda knew this might happen, right?
You knew our coaching staff would piss the bed and fail to keep our players motivated and realizing this was a serious game against a team backed into a corner trying to save their coach.
We spent 2 weeks losing our edge and getting soft, and got punched in the mouth.
How gutless was it to repeatedly not go for it on 4th and 1/2 to go around midfield?
DONT GIVE A TEAM LIFE THAT DOESN’T DESERVE LIFE.
We sustain those drives and go up 21-0 or 21-7 and things are very different. Let the downtrodden team wilt and decide “oh well, we aren’t supposed to win anyway.”
You don’t give them HOPE.
Such a typical bed wetting by our program. From the way we handled Gurley, to the way we handle our roster management, to the way we handle bye weeks and games against weaker teams.
I am so sorry for our players. They deserve better. Well, at least they’ll get into the NFL and dominate like most UGA players end up doing.
I’m wondering if we could ask the SEC to just not give us bye weeks because where other teams make adjustments and gameplan we seem to just lose momentum.
LOL. Kinda scary how much that almost seems like an attractive option.
I was thinking the same damn thing. Both losses have come versus shit teams after a damn bye week. Georgia’s record after a bye week has to be among the most dismal in the country over the last 15 years.
You’re right. Somewhere in my gut I knew this would happen. Because that’s just what we do.
I am a lifetime Gator Hater . This was a terrible day for me.
My3 Rival Games are UF, Tenn., & Auburn. Maybe we can take Auburn.
But, Nothing makes up for losing to the Gators.
For some reason, while watching the game, I was neither mad not surprised at what I was watching. By now, we should all expect a certain level of bed shitting by a CMR coached team.
Sad but true. 😦
Hate Lou Holtz in 3, 2, 1…
Our game against Mizzou felt too good to be true. Everything went our way in that game, and that rarely happens. Likewise for the first half against Arkansas. My sense is that the Tennessee game is the most “this is who we are” game of the season. How good is Georgia, really? Good enough to beat a so-so Tennessee team. But if that’s right, and nothing changes between now and December, then I don’t see how anyone is confident that we’ll make it to Atlanta. And if we do make it to Atlanta, I expect it to be an SEC Championship like 2011 all over again. Proud that we’re there … but painful to watch.
We just gave up the most rushing yards in a game since 1978, according to the talking heads. To a bad Florida team. Damn.
There were records to be broken yesterday. Florida threw for the least amount of yards (27) than since before 1078.
Hudson Mason passing at 64% and 317 yards threw for more yards than Murray did in his previous 4 games against the Gators
Offense after 1st qtr looked like they did against Missouri. Not there. Our O line is getting the hell beat out of them. And in their defense D stack and close all the games because Bobo can never figure out how to get speed to the outside and creat lanes on the edge. He is a single back OC who wants to run dink play action and a featured TB up the middle. UF simply manned the WOs and pressured the gaps. Easy to defend a QB like Mason. He is not a threat to run to the edge or even get close to it.
I have a question about the O roster. They have been down to a single back after Clemson. Why? Where are these players…Scott Wesley, Jay Rome, Keith Marshall, Sony Michel. They have been injured all season and I’d be curious to see how many snaps they have for 13 & 14. Have a Gurley but he like Green misses a third of the season. And it happens when you only have a true frosh starting 4 road games.
When CMR was at FSU he had a Prescott, Dobbs, Marshall, and so on. Charlie Ward out of Central High School in Tville. Now he has another 5th yr sr out of Lassister. Why has CMR and staff brought along a QB like UF and UT are doing. The kid at Lee County throw better and plays better than Mason ever will. Injuries are part of the game but McClendon’s boys are always that way. King, Crowell, Marshall, Turman, and the list goes on. But CMR needs get control of his roster. Only one TE today. Only 1 RB today. And only 3 WOs. This is a deep not deep in skilled players.
Plus you would think Bobo could call a play or 2 where you can move the chains when facing 3rd and one or 3rd and 2. Worst damen 3rd down performance by an OC and offense ever at UGA
We don’t seem to have anyone who can get deep to the outside like in past years. And I’m not confident that Mason could get it to them if they went deep. I haven’t seen it yet. Biggest worry was how we got manhandled on both lines by a team that was hardly vintage UF talent. I hope we bounce back for five more wins, but UK and especially Auburn pose some real problems.
Good thing we’ve had easy schedules for the past couple of years. We’ve needed them. Recruiting generally has been strong, but I don’t know why we always get caught short on a replacement QB when we lose a Stafford or a Murray. I agree with you — that doesn’t make sense in a conference like the SEC.
That Florida defense is pretty talented. Their offense gave Missouri a bunch of turnovers but Missouri only got like 100 yards of offense.
Our tenured QB can’t throw a deep ball. Our receivers are plenty capable of running deep, just like they did last year. Problem is Mason can’t throw the deep ball effectively.
Re: the no-call on the roughing the kicker – I have yet to see a punter in mid-air pull a half-twist after a punt without physical help. Ask any springboard diver or gymnast, that move comes first.
Also, everything else was terrible, and i’ma be up about every other hour tonight…
Pitchforks and torches to Bryan Allens house tomorrow!
I’ll bring the gasoline.
Uhhh…unless Gurley was going to morph into a run-stuffing DL, the Gurley absence was hardly a factor.
It would just be fun to take out frustration on the weasel. Like politics, blame the other guy.
We miss a FG, the fake one and score a TD. They get in the red zone and score TD’s, we come away empty handed. They made the plays and we didn’t. Not on offense or defense or special teams. Stinks but it’s done.
Team did not show up tonight, and that’s totally on Richt and his staff. Florida was not even that pumped up – we gave them hope in the first half and then they got amped up.
On the field goal – do not understand why we don’t have a couple of guys on each outside hash mark to contain for field goals and a safety or whatever containment scheme makes sense. Are we afraid we will block fewer than the zero field goals we usually block?
No serious problems with the officiating – actually thought it was pretty good. Wah wah wah. Punter barely got touched – total grazing, incidental contact. Also, you want to get credit for your FG’s kick them through the uprights.
Mason obviously has some talent and it shows when he’s running the hurry up – he completed some nice passes toward the end of the game, and there were a couple of drops that should have been catches. We’ve heard he prefers that speed – so if you want him to “let ‘er rip”, then help him out by installing a faster, more instinctive rather than overly-cerebral game plan. I will never understand why we can’t start every game with the sense of urgency and that tempo during moments of the 4th quarter – although it still took us 5 minutes to run our 2 minute drill tonight – and run it full blast for four quarters.
Could not set the edge to save our lives.
Uncreative game plan from Bobo – unforgivable with two weeks to prepare and with the holes we have in our personnel. Where have our fullbacks gone – did I just miss them tonight? Why aren’t we getting McKenzie the ball in space or trying some sweeps with him or whatever, especially with our depleted tailback corps?
As I mentioned above, I think Mason is a pretty good quarterback. But if he’s not going to fit in Bobo’s scheme we may as well give Ramsey and Bauta some snaps every game.
This is the #10 team in the country with Gurley and the #20 team without him. That ain’t bad – I’m going to enjoy the rest of the season.
When defenses are in prevent and playing it safe Mason shines. Otherwise, they don’t respect his ability to throw it more than 15 yards down field.
Could be some of soft coverage but he was making a lot of those throws into those prevent coverages, yes? I think it’s the pace …
Mason had looked decent at times, but when he’s under serious pressure, he looks absolutely befuddled. Easy for me to say, I know, but haven’t they ever worked with him on throwing the ball away immediately when the pocket is being destroyed? I was afraid he was going to get another grounding call at one point tonight.
My God, Chubb must be seriously hurt. After all, he only got a mere 4 carries after the 1st quarter.
Hope he can recover and get back soon.
Seriously? Only 4 carries after the 1st quarter? WTF?
I thought it looked like he got hit really hard and landed awkwardly. If we have no Chubb and no Gurley……….
I’m a lawyer. Not a coach or an expert. UGA has nearly 40,000 students. Surely. Surely we can find someone who can throw the ball down the field.
There are 3 on campus right now. Ramsey, Bauta and Park.
Hopefully the Dawgs can come back and whip ky after the 3 week rest. I don’t see us beating auburn, unless Gurley runs like superman – which is a strong possibility. We’re gonna need a lot of help to win the sece with 3 losses.
Damn Auburn’s collective soul. Ole Miss receiver fumbles as he reaches the goal line for the go-ahead score when AU defender pulls him down to break his ankle. Auburn recovers in end zone to seal another win it shouldn’t have had. Reminded me of the “miracle” tipped pass against us. Maybe they do have a deal with the Devil.
I’ve been saying that for years.
time management issues persist…
Damn, that is cold.
+1 for truth.
This game took me back to the 90s. There was nothing positive to take away. I took my ear buds out and walked out of the stadium about midway the 4th and I don’t leave early. I don’t know what else to say.
Did you just see the way Auburn lucked out again? Against Ole Miss. OM down four points late in the game and the QB fumbles it inside the Auburn 5. Then the Defense holds Auburn, and OM throws the winning Touchdown. only wait…..the Ole Miss Reciever was being pulled down backwards as he crossed the goal line. He tore up his leg and the replay showed he fumbled the ball exactly one inch from the goal line. Auburn is the luckiest team I have ever seen. It’s uncanny. It’s beyond coincidence…it’s something else.
Yes, cringe worthy! Only saving grace, we watched while drowning our sorrows in the 1000 Sq foot presidential suite upgrade because it’s all they had and we travel a lot.
Awful game, obviously. Had a bad feeling after we dominated the first quarter (170 yds of offense) and were only up by seven. Not much urgency, lots of little mistakes that stopped drives/big plays, sloppy special teams. If we would have converted yard into points early on, probably would have been a completely different (good) game. Tide started to turn with our missed FG (another hallmark of a Georgia loss) and was complete with UF’s fake FG.
Our rushing defense was shockingly bad. We looked WEAK–total failure to shed blocks on every level of the defense.
Kind of hard to shed blocks when every player on the FU O was grabbing jersey. They are experts at it. They hold until the RB is past their man, then they let go. No call.
Somebody needs to teach our guys how to hold, then. Grab the jersey before it blows past you.
Er….that would not be the Christian thing to do.
Unfortunate comment, Mayor.
well, at least Spurrier gacked one up to Tennessee tonight. At least he wont have to worry about coming in dead last in the East, what with Vandy being Vandy.
So it turns out we were a false-hope paper tiger all along. Again. No worries, sell us a top 15 preseason ranking again next year, we’ll all buy it. For me the best thing about this Georgia-Florida game is that I’m not facing a 6 hour drive back to Athens tomorrow while bitter, angry, and hungover as shit. That is the worst damn drive in the world. Safe trip back for everyone in that position.
How does this D shut down Arkansas and then get run over by a less versatile and less physical version of that same offense?
Damn…..this is 1984 all over again, those Dawgs rolled into JAX 7-1 (only loss also to USC….weird?) only to get rolled by resurgent Gators, ending a period of UGA dominance. ’84 group didn’t win another game. How well with this outfit respond?
How well with this outfit respond?
Ya know what… Who cares?
Seriously. For the first time since Goff… who cares?
Our entire program is a joke.
From the way it is managed to the way we devote resources, it is a joke. We don’t deserve to have this much money and have it used so poorly, inefficiently, and ineffectively.
Our program is a joke.
1) Our AD.
2) Entire S&C Program.
3) Indoor training facility bullshit.
4) Minimal investment into the program (non-competitive lack of “special assistants.)
5) Disorganized recruiting that leaves gaping holes.
6) Haven’t had a consistent defensive program for 10 years.
7) Haven’t had a consistent O-line for 10+ years.
8) Lack of accountability for coaches and program in general.
9) Hyper aggressive enforcement of rules way beyond the norm.
10) Kowtowing to the NCAA instead of using UGA’s significant power against the NCAA where appropriate.
11) Failure to get the ACC police department in line.
12) Too in love with moral victories and always looking like the nice guy instead of the successful guy.
I could go on, but we all know the refrain.
That’s a good list.
I’d only add the HC in his 14th year still doesn’t know shit about managing a clock.
Or any feel for how to flip the momentum of the game. Or an ability to beat teams unless he has significantly more talent.
This last point by tri is particularly significant IMO. Georgia loses to teams that have inferior talent all the time. This year’s WLOCP is a perfect example. 3-3 FU beats 6th ranked 6-1 Georgia like a drum. But when in recent history has Georgia beaten a team that had more talent than Georgia? The Senator would point to 2013 LSU but I would say at the time of that game (before all the injuries to Dawgs players) that Georgia was the one with the superior talent. Putting aside LSU for the moment, name another. I can’t. Can any of you?
I had this conversation with my wife last night. 01 UT, 06 Auburn, 05 LSU, and maybe 07 Florida. That’s it. In 14 years. I don’t want to fire Richt, but I won’t be sad when we part ways either. Honestly, both sides could use a change.
That’s a Richt UGA team. Always plays down to the other team’s talent in big games and has no killer instinct. As far as the clock management goes I’m not sure which MR team Vern and Gary have been watching for years to be surprised that Richt wasted 30 secs before calling a TO before the half. Hell, I was surprised he finally did call one. But of course I knew it was just so that we could see a couple incomplete short passes and a run before we hit the locker room.
Clock management is one thing, but FFS could we EVER try to be agressive at the end of the half? We just play to lose. If you’re not confident enough in your QB to let him throw more than a couple of five yard passes with over a minute left than he shouldn’t be playing and you’re not doing your job.
I knew…somehow I just KNEW deep, deep down that this game was lost when Richt elected to punt from midfield on 4th and 1. You’ve got one of the best rushing attacks in the country, and you can’t get one yard? ONE yard. At midfield. And then Florida was back up to midfield in what, like 3 plays? Total and utter lack of cojones. Pathetic. Incomprehensible. Indefensible.
Yep, completely turned the game around. Horrible game management by Richt. The key to the entire game was to get up 14 somFlorida had to throw. Kicking a FG with 40 mph gusts is the wrong call 100% of the time. Field Gial Jesus just can’t help himself.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying fire Richt. But I won’t be torn apart whenever he decides to do something else. His window to win titles has closed. UGA isn’t winning anything else of note as long as he’s here.
Agreed. CMR is now at the career stage where he is a hindrance rather than a help to the Dawgs. I don’t want him fired. I just want him to gracefully retire and move on. But he’ll never do that. He’s John Cooper all over again. Please… someone, anyone…offer this man a job so he will get out of Athens!!!!
Or another Bobby Bowden.
Bowden won 2 MNCs and umpteen conference titles. Not so with CMR.
Sorry, that call proved to be correct. Florida fumbled four plays later at midfield.
Is it a coincidence that today is the Day of the Dead?
Is David Andrews the most valuable player on our offense?
He obviously is the most-needed player on the O-line. That says something right there. Chubb, 2 fumbles and all, is still the man on the entire offense. That kid showed a lot of heart yesterday. If he stays healthy, he will leave one hell of a legacy in Athens.
He may be…but the staff has had three years to recruit and develop a backup and bases on what we saw of Long, we don’t have a player to step in….that’s all on the staff
Apparently he calls the line adjustments so I guess he is. Our 5th year QB I guess didn’t have time to learn that while he was holding a clipboard.
Yes. Check out Seth Emersons midseason report
Perhaps we can play Nebraska in the whatever bank bowl again this year to decide the best two out of three series.
Listen, the Dawgs team I saw yesterday doesn’t want any part of Nebraska–that would REALLY be an embarrassing loss.
Phrases to get you through this week…
We didn’t have our best player. (Then hold up 3 fingers while bending over like you are going to snap the ball, which can be our version of Tebowing).
Wait till next year. (All time classic.)
There are no favorites in a rivalry game.
The defense is young.
We’re still in this. (Poor form if you laugh.)
And my favorite…F*** OFF!
Par for the course. Happens every year. Richt can’t win for losing. Expect the same thing next year.
For a little historical context, may I suggest the second half of the Arkansas game?
All those recruiting “wins” to the contrary, we don’t have the bodies yet — on either line. Either we’re guessing wrong when we sign them, or we’re not using them right when they’re here. If you know a crap offense like UF is going to run every play, and they they gash us for 40 yards at a clip, something isn’t being done right. Florida took our LBs totally out of the game.
We sign private school O lineman while Auburn and every other team comes into our state and grabs the hosses and roadgraders. I think Richt and Bobo really prefer being a finesse team and and only care about power when nothing else is working. We could also use some of those hoss DTs that our ol buddy Rodney took to Auburn with him…asshole. Steals $$ from UGA for his last few years and then all of a sudden when he goes to Auburn we stop hearing those stories about the 5 star guys who never even got a call from him.
Coach and play like that against a long time rival will cost you support and fans. They tune you out.
No doubt the Gators are a much better team…coaches and roster. They had 2 weeks to prep a game and use a frosh qb with a program being dismissed by their supporters and alums…heck, they did not even fill all their seats. Maybe that is what the AD needs to see when the Dawgs come home from their legendary road trip. Did any other team have that many games on the road back to back. Should have had UT’s scheduel [brutal] or Missouri [cupcake].
Gators would beat us 10 out of 10 even with Gurley. When you watched these guys you knew they had the talent, but not the sparkplug to move their offense under Roper. The frosh qb changes their O big time. Have to respect his speed and quickness. Now think of Mason. Turtle and rabbit.
Now think of Muschamp and Richt. Muschamp will stay at UF. Why he has the coaches and players. Think not. Go position by position. The ledger falls in their favor.
In the end CMR’s 2011 dream team is a nightmare. Yesterday was the result. How many times could the Gators get to the edge…any time they wanted. Could they pass. I have no doubt they can in that offense. Plus they have the best receiver in the conference…kid out of Fort Valley.
Muschamp canned an OC. Hired a new one. Think CMR would do that. Not a chance…better chance than Dawgs beating UF again with the much maliagned Muschamp.
Bobo wins when he matches up against less talented and less physical players. His offense is built that way. Plus his Offense is very prone to not only take a play off or two, but whole quarters and halves. SEE GATORS AND HAWGS GAMEs.
How many plays did the O have against Arkansas and against UF where they could not make short distance, move the chains, and get 4 more snaps to play with.
Plus it would be nice if there was one damn season where CMR could have players available. The suspension list and injury list a UGA is a disgrace.
Look at the RB position. Only a true freshman Chubb and Brandon Douglas are it now. Can not play Green. Not with UK and Auburn coming up. He is desperately needed in the secondary, because those position were wiped out before the season started. Where is the depth at TE? There is none. But if Bobo will widen the field re running game with more gaps and speed he could pressure a defense and the scoreboard.
Now how many times did UF pull their guards to smoke the LBs. Hell they looked like trains going down the track. Plus there is not doubt to many of us that UF would have used a moving pocket against Dawgs D in their passing game.
Yesterday confirmed what some of us saw in the O against USC, Arkansas, and UF…it just disappears for long periods in a game.
Everybody’s offense disappears at times. Fact of life. It’s the defense that can’t afford to disappear. And ours did after the first two series.
Yes, everyone’s does disappear at times, but do they disappear for such extended periods? Ours disappeared Saturday at the 9 minute mark in the first quarter and didn’t reappear for the remainder of the first half. Then, IIRC, it had the ball about 2 minutes in the third quarter (3 & out , then 3 & fumble). That’s nearly three full quarters of disappearance, which will pretty much lose you any game, especially one against a hated rival with its back against the wall and its coach’s job on the line.
This is a maddening consistency under Bobo & Richt. To be fair, it may happen with the other SEC teams, but since I don’t follow them I can’t testify to that. It just seems to this long-time observer that the offensive brain trust is either unable or unwilling to fix the train when it goes off the tracks.
But that’s just my opinion. I could be wrong.
1.Plus it would be nice if there was one damn season where CMR could have players available. The suspension list and injury list a UGA is a disgrace.
Look at the RB position. Only a true freshman Chubb and Brandon Douglas are it now.
Georgia, with Heisman candidate Todd Gurley leading the way has the deepest talent in the league. Keith Marshall, who burst on to the scene as a freshman with Gurley is returning from an ACL injury but looks to return to form. The Bulldogs boast two highly-touted true freshman in Sony Michel and Nick Chubb, both of whom saw playing time and made an impact in the ‘Dawgs season-opening win over Clemson.SDS -so many backs plus Douglas and we moved JJ to D to get him on the field.
2.Could they pass. I have no doubt they can in that offense. Plus they have the best receiver in the conference…kid out of Fort Valley...
Gators had to break a record yesterday Saturday: 27 yds passing
OK I’ll just leave it here and show myself out. Hello to all the Bobo Haz a Crayon crowd and Fire Mark Richt and CC.
Congrats to Agent Boom. He is a very capable DC and he had himself one hell of a John Wayne Day. It just wasn’t our day. It happens sports fans. Even Tiger Woods stumbled at times.
That really happened, didn’t it
I see all the loonies are back out. The skies falling! We’re terrible! We’ll never win again! Waaaaaaah!
Lighten up. FU blocked better than we did and that was it. Once they figured out we couldn’t stop their running, it was over. It sucks but I predict we’ll show up to play again next week, and we may even win.
FU tackled better, too.
Except for the occasional Chubb run
FU did everything better.
GU won time of possession in the first half!
On 3rd & 6, the receiver needs to go 6+ yards downfield, not 4. On 3rd & 8, the receiver needs to go 8+ yards downfield, not 6. On 3rd & 10, the receiver needs to go 10+ yards downfield, not 8. Those 3rd down failures killed us and kept the D on the field far too long. Not sure which is worse, CMB judging the distance to the first down marker or CMR clock management. And WTF happened to our best-in-cfb LBs?
Dawgs really wasted a huge opportunity (again) this season. I thought the SECC was a definite. Looks doubtful now.
+1000. In the first quarter, 3rd and 4 inside the Gator 10 and we throw a 2 yard completion = a wasted down. The first of many WTF moments I had yesterday.
Yeah,I’m not sure which version of MR Vern and Gary have been watching for years but I was not only completely unsurprised that Richt wasted 30 secs before calling for a TO right before the half but was surprised when he actually did call one. Of course we all knew that it was gonna be two stuffed runs and and incomplete pass before we headed to the locker room anyway.
Not that I think this had eff all to do with the game but we are already playing Florida IN Florida so why would we agree to let them wear their home jerseys when it wasn’t their turn? Are we just the most hospitable team in the country?
Can someone explain why, after the Richard Samuel talent wasting, we are doing the same thing with JJ Green? Why move him back to RB if you aren’t going to play him when nothing else is working?
Are you looking for an explanation other than “Richt isn’t smart when it comes to roster management.”?
Just going through some strange phase of mourning I think, the grasping at straws phase.
could be sitting with me in the parking lot at EverBank Field waiting for a tow truck. Some nightmares never end.
Ouch…sorry about that. Insult to grevious injury.
After the missed field goal, this game quickly reverted back to the 20 year pattern of Georgia play in Jacksonville. This time we did not have the overwhelming talent to barely pull off a victory against an over matched team. We got punched in the mouth and it was easy to see the pattern of play start all over again. The stars are no longer aligned in this series, so I don’t expect anything different next year save some sort of foundational transformation in our program.
I won’t give up on this team, however having lived through this series the last 20+ years, I am not going into this game with any expectations other than poor, soft, tight and unimaginative play. I don’t have any answers and neither does Richt.
It does make me grateful for the last three victories however. Three in a row has been fantastic.
Nail on the head. The FG in a 25-30 mph cross wind is always the right call for Field Goal Richt. That my friends was the play that gave them hope. The fake FG was the play that finished off our 3 year run. The rest was just an awful example of as our DC said getting our butts beat. I know that UF fans love the fact that they beat us but so did a lame duck Ron Zook so I still thing barring a miracle we wasted a perfectly good game trying to save Muschamp’s job. IF the team is good enough to beat UGA why has it struggled all year? Muschamp is a bad HC but he still beat our butts when it counted just like the Happy Zooker.
Yep. Georgia fans certainly get a kick out of their rivals’ coaching escapades, but plenty of time the joke is on us. Zook? Fulmer? Kiffen? We’re gleeful when Spurrier throws his visor, tosses his headphones, and loses another game…but he still owns us. Now add Muschamp to the list. He IS a bad HC, and no way he isn’t fired, but he just coached the worst Florida team in over 25 years to an ass-kicking over Georgia. Sad.
Not getting all the Mason hate on here. My observation was a game plan that fully expected Florida to implode. Our coaches waited until it was too late to respond after that didn’t happen. Putting any of this on the players is misguided.
I don’t hate Mason. I’d just rather see someone else at QB. All things considered, I’m not convinced that Ramsey would be much of a downgrade from Mason at the position, and I think the program would be better off getting him some big-time reps.
To anyone else at the game….I know I’m not the only one to notice how, for lack of a better word, dead it felt in that stadium yesterday. I mean it was eerie before kickoff. Scott Howard was so dead that I turned my radio off when we got that turnover after our first TD.
Just had to make a detour off 75 for some soul food my heart hurts. I can handle losses but this is an insult.
Out coached. Out played. Out hustled, by an inferior team with no offense and a freshman QB. We are too cautious on 4th and short. We could have broken their will early in the game, but punted. We recover a fumble and get nothing. All the years I have been going to that game, this was the only year where I thought we would beat them soundly. This was just humiliating.
