the UGA team that showed up last night? Definitely better than the teams you have behind them. Is this AU game going to be like 2007, where we caught fire and were probably as good or better than anyone in the country by season’s end?

oh, and the hell with Ohio State. All the excuse makers talking about but but but OSU is better now, they had adversity early, blah blah blah. They’d come in third in the SEC East this year, at best. I hope Michigan State or someone beats them in the Big Integer championship, and then we can quit hearing about them.

Caught fire, hottest team, etc….an old FSU meme that got the Crime Noles into a lot of undeserving situations at year end.

Body of work is the only deserving requirement to qualify TOP 4.

And I think I was the only blogger fading the rest of you crackheads – took the under. Hence, I am a professional prognosticator.

      PS – eat it Juan!

Yeah, don’t blame you. Hard to judge this team. If the UGA from the Mizzou or AU games shows up, don’t know if anyone in the country could beat them. If the one from USc or the WLOCP shows, I wouldn’t put them in the top 25.

  3. Given the two incredibly awful losses this team has, you are dead wrong. The awesome performance and utter domination last night only makes the face plant to Florida that much more gut wrenching. This program would be sitting pretty with only one crappy, early season to Carolina. Yet in typical Richt-fashion, the Dawgs find the strength and courage to deliver another all uninspired 60 minutes against a hated rival in the WLOCP. So in short, Georgia is not a top 4, 5 nor top 10 team based on results.

I believe they will be ranked in a few top tens for sure.

    • You know, you’re right.

In fact, if Georgia makes it to Atlanta and upsets the SEC West champ, I think the conference should vacate the title out of a sense of embarrassment.

No, but if Georgia upsets the SEC west champ we would still not be deserving of being in the play off unless a lot of other teams lose some more games. I do think tOSU deserves to be in over Georgia, but that is only because two bad losses is greater than one bad loss in my book.

        • Except you’re conveniently forgetting that if Georgia wins the SECCG to go 11-2, its wins resume would be far better than Ohio State’s.

But feel free to luxuriate in your pessimism. 😉

Far better? Two wins over sparty might equal one win over bama. We also have wins over 4 loss auburn and 3 loss Clemson. Better yes, but far better ehh.

For whatever it’s worth, aOSU won’t play MSU in the B10 title game. Wisconsin holds the cards, and likely goes (to play aOSU) if it wins at Iowa this Saturday; but if Iowa wins the next two weeks against UW and Nebraska then they get in.

If the season shakes out with an 11-2 UGa vs. a 12-1 aOSU, I’ll eat my hat if the Buckeyes are passed over for Georgia. And sadly, just like 2007 Georgia will have to sit back and accept it because of brain cramps against Carolina.

A 2 loss SECC is in, like it or not.

Field will be 4 champs for sure…and yeah, the SEC will be in with 2 losses or less.

This is all speculation at this point. Georgia is in second place in the East until Missouri loses another game. We can hope but Mizzou is better than both the 2 remaining SEC teams on their schedule–our best shot was aTm and they lost to Mizzou yesterday. Also, whoever the West winner is and whoever the East winner is, the SEC refs will make damn sure that the West team wins the SECCG in order to maximize the likelihood of at least 1 SEC team making the field and bringing home the dinero to the conference. If Bama wins out and Missy State wins out, I see a chance that 2 SEC teams get into the 4 team playoff. That cannot happen if a 2 loss Mizzou or Georgia win the SECCG.

P.S.Personally, all I care about is Georgia winning the SEC Championship. I just hope that if the Dawgs win the East the cheating SEC refs referee the SECCG game honestly.

Mayor, it will no surprise at all if Mizzou loses both of their remaining games. They have a good defensive line but their LBs and secondary make them just slightly above average, On offense, Mauk is inconsistent, the RBs are average, and the loss of their WRs last year has caused a major drop off. TN is favored by 3 this Saturday and, unless they get sloppy with the ball in a big game, I think they win by double digits. My only concern is their OL weakness but having a mobile QB now is covering that up.

VT is a lot worse than USC and UF. They will be .500 at best in their division of the ACC with a loss to East Carolina too.

OSU plays a garbage schedule – you should have to win them all if you play a schedule like that.

Yezzir, Bluto. You been drinkin’ the good stuff watered down with red K-A, you unmitigated homer. Can’t disagree with that ranking too much. Bet you are wishing for a Bama rematch like the rest of us. We can beat’em, you know.

Yes! Because it is only the team that meet the Plutonic (maybe Blutonic) ideals of Georgia fans that should be considered for the playoff. I hope that we win out because I want us to win every game against everyone. It would also be awesome to get into the Playoff, I’d love for us to be the college football equivalent of the 07 Giants. But first I will be happy to beat Tech and see MIzzou lose.

Suurre, Skep. Don’t you realize that a lot of fans here are having a good laugh from your unintentional humor? You keep demonstrating that you don’t know crap about coaching, much less our coach. I’ve never bought your wild horseshit (including that you have a son you have taken to games). I think it is one big piece of crap claim.

You still owe $10 on your bet with me, payable to Bobo, you friggin welcher.

This is SO shaping up to prove the concern that changing the argument from “Who is #2 vs #3?” will be an absolute trainwreck in determining the difference between #4 vs #5. Archie was smart to quit the committee.

I will have Wisconsin as my BIG team in the Top 8. They looked pretty awesome dismantling a Nebraska team yesterday that was getting a lot more respect than they were. Look capable of taking Ohio down in the title game.
I am really loving the chaotic ending that seems to be coming in December. More excitement among fans this season than I can ever recall with stadiums showing games on the Jumbotrons that involves teams that impact their ranking for a playoff spot. Having a six way train wreck after Championship Saturday with no guarantees for Conference Champions will piss everyone off and help create demand for making improvements sooner than currently forecast.

    • Buckeyes are #1 with a bullet, and I’d favor them over every other school right now.

** I have no idea what to do with FSU. I don’t really think that they are one of the 8 best teams in the country, but their record suggests otherwise. Are they lucky? Destined? I don’t know. I guess at the end of the day I give them credit for what they have done, with the 2 obvious caveats that they would have multiple losses in any other P5 conference, and that without Winston, they may not be bowl eligible.

Agree, they haven’t been impressive to me either. As I said above, I think Wisconsin rolls them in the championship game. That was a butt whipping against the Huskers, and Urbie barely nipped Minney.
