I always bounce between my two favorite Christmas songs. This year, you get the Pogues.
Enjoy the day, y’all.

“And Georgia fans, don’t be turds. Enjoy this. Soak it up. It’s awesome. If you don’t win this year, it’s still not a failure. It’s a heck of a run. Back-to-back in the Playoff era hasn’t been done. So, to ask for a third I feel like it’s gluttonous. I feel like it’s not OK. But we’ll be in the mix.”-- David Pollack, On3.com, 5/9/23
This is really the only Christmas song I like, with the possible exception of CeeLo Green’s version of “That’s What Christmas Means to Me”. The way the song hits the pipes after the first “the bells were ringing out on Christmas Day” makes me long for winter and a glass of Jamieson.
Also my favorite Christmas movie: “Die Hard”.

Couldn’t agree more, Irish. It also adds that little touch of bitter sweetness when it reminds me that Kirsty MacColl’s no longer with us.
Happy Holidays to you and yours, Senator.

Not the Senator, but a good survey album is “The Very Best of the Pogues”. Nothing bad on it.

Copy that. The Pogues have some amazing stuff if you like Irish music. “If I Should Fall From the Grace of God” is a gem, and I want “Body of an American” played at my wake.
