Some Belk Bowl good news

No doubt things have been a little chaotic as tomorrow approaches, but at least we learn from Coach Richt that the Dawgs are relatively healthy going in.

Georgia coach Mark Richt said the Bulldogs are close to being as healthy as they have been all season. Fullback Taylor Maxey and defensive back Lucas Redd were able to practice this weekend after being sidelined with minor injuries. Tailback A.J. Turman (foot) returned to practice briefly on Friday but couldn’t finish the workout and was unable to return on Saturday.

Except for that Gurley fella, of course.

Tell me about Turman. Is he supposed to be good? Has he been hurt his entire time at UGA? Will he get playing time with the stable of backs we currently have? Not knocking him, I just don’t know. I hear his name but wonder where/how he fits in.

What about McKenzie? Heard he wasn’t playing.

    • Word is that Marshall’s looked good in bowl practice.

Is Marshall eligible for a RS if he doesn’t play the bowl?

        • Yep.

Georgia’s RB situation looks pretty stout for 2015.

Master of the Understatement Award to the Senator. An embarrassment of riches for the UGA running game with that set of backs and four returning starters on the OL. With the receiving talent returning, the QB battle may be interesting but it isn’t going to grade out below B. No matter how much Bobo wanted, and needed, that HC experience it had to be a tough decision to leave that talent behind. No wonder CMR’s phone is blowing up.

I don’t personally hear it ring, or have access to it if that is your question. But he did say there is plenty of interest, more than he has time to review and 1) Mark Richt isn’t a liar or prone to hyperbole, 2) with the offensive firepower we have, commons sense says it has to be. I can’t imagine you doubting that (unless they have taken a look at our Peter Principle AD.)
