Recruiting map is cool. Troll mode is humorous. Kentucky with only one in-state player?! And anybody thinking we can lock down the state’s borders: Please look at the concentration in Atlanta and finally realize its literally impossible

And Florida as an early title contender?! You’ve gotta be kidding me…

Somebody who truly loves Penn State should arrange a black op whereby the statute is stolen taken 25 miles out to sea and thrown overboard.

It’s hard to miss all of those SCU logos in Metro Atlanta.

Please….please…for the love of all that is holy, do not talk about a Georgia national championship at anytime. Never in the history of Georgiadom has that worked in our favor.

“It was about the team, the students, the legacy that Penn State has built. That was what the statue was about.”

I think the statue should go back to where it was so that it will be a permanent reminder of what happened and what should have happened.

Penn State wants to put all this in the past, they should not be allowed to do that. Ever.

Looks like the new TN OC is a run first guy. Good thing they have been recruiting for a passing game 😉

    • took a little while to figure the various links to Debord and Tenn. football out but finally added two and two. Debord as the author of the Michigan loss to App State has to give him a permanent place in college football infamy. It looks like Jones is paying back a favor from years ago. I say this guy will be to Jones what Martinez was to Richt .Nothing sucks like a big Orange

The Les Miles piece (that’s Les Miles, coach at LSU, right? 🙂 ) is classic and the conversation about next year is frightening.

  9. If I may, Senator, wedge this comment in having nothing to do with the buffet. Andy Katz laments the potential exclusion of Syracuse, Uconn, Florida and some other “elite” program’s from March Madness, due to a variety of reasons. He says, “this is bad for the NCAA”. It might be but it is surely as bad for ESPN. Can’t help but wonder if similar sentiments aren’t offered one day about the CFP. Imagine a Boise, Baylor, Utah and Miss St playoff.

The Paterno statue may wind up being Penn State’s Iron Horse (albeit for a very, very different set of circumstances).

Looks like it could make a nice towel rack. Too soon?

My sister lives in State College, PA. She was once driving by paterno’s house where he was outside raking leaves. She was rubber necking while driving and getting a long glimpse of the coach. He looks up, and she figured she was gonna get a wave or hello. But then he yells “Hey, you just drove through a stop sign!”.

Such is life. One day immortal, next day scumbag. Lot of lessons with the paterno situation. Heck, 25 years ago I felt the guy had overstayed. And its obvious they gave him too much unquestioned power.

  11. That mgoblog is a hilarious read.
