The old saying is that one “aw shucks” can wipe out a whole bunch of “atta boys”. Ask Coach Squib about it.

Until they don’t and then they’ll blame…….whoever they please …and ESPN will forget they ever said this.

According to this ESPN pre-spring position rating we’re either #1 or #2 in 5 of the 8 total positions. With 3 #1 position rankings (which doesn’t include the RB position where we are #2 behind Arkansas and that is absolutely RIDICULOUS). The weak spots are QB (#11), DL (#8), and WR/TE (#7). I like our WR/TE position iff MM and JSW can stay healthy. I wouldn’t trade a healthy version of those two guys along with Blaz & Rome for any other group in the SEC. The QB will be helped a lot by the OL and RB’s we have returning so, if we get an above average QB play this year, our offense shouldn’t take too many steps back.

And if that happens (and without a long string of injuries), we’ll be playing in the SEC championship game this fall. I believe our D has the potential to be a top 5 defense in the nation as long as our DL steps up and our DB’s keep progressing. If Pruitt is able to get the improvement that we saw last year to again take place this year, he might become the best hire Georgia has ever made.
