I’d say this is a little awkward for John Chavis’ suit against LSU:
The photograph from Kris Boyd’s Twitter feed is dated Jan. 15.
It shows the Gilmer, Texas, football prospect standing in a room at Gilmer High School, arm in arm with former LSU defensive coordinator John Chavis, along with three other people.
Chavis is wearing a Texas A&M pullover. Everyone is smiling their hashmarks off.
Such a happy picture, though I think pretty soon it’s going to be the folks at LSU who will be doing the smiling/doubling over in laughter.
Boyd eventually signed with Texas, but that’s not the point here.
The point is Chavis was apparently off campus recruiting for Texas A&M during the time he claims he wasn’t actually employed by A&M.
If LSU ever gets around to deposing Chavis, it’s gonna be a blast.
Is Chavis gonna’ be worth all of this?

Yeah chavis could tell both to f off and chances are someone in the SEC would fire their current DC and try and hire Chavis right now. While he is currently suing both his previous employers.

The article does not show the picture. Also Texas is not above trying mess with A&M so I would not think that would be an unbiased source.

I guess I missed the reason for him suing A&M. Why would he do that unless he is just going to become a free agent.

To determine if there is any money owed to LSU and if so, who is gonna pay it.

Thanks AHD. Ahhh, a Declaratory Judgment Action. One of my favorite things, right up there with fried green tomatoes. As I suspected, a friendly lawsuit with regard to A&M, at least as far as Chavis is concerned. See my post on this of the other day.
