A tidbit here, a tidbit there…
- Something to keep an eye on with this season’s Kentucky football team: “From that highly touted 2014 signing class, ranked No. 17 in the nation, UK was able to redshirt 16 players…” That includes redshirting every offensive linemen the current staff has signed.
- Bill Connelly ponders what the future of football analytics will bring.
Marc WeiszerFletcher Page has a nice piece on this year’s Paul Oliver Network gathering.- Les Miles thinks Matt Womack signing with Alabama is enough of a punishment for his program.
- So Andy Schwarz is being hired to produce the new report evaluating the report that led to the shutdown of the UAB football program? That’s beyond interesting, both for what he’ll have to say about UAB’s decision as well as shining a light on college athletic departments’ bookkeeping practices.
- Here’s another roundup of questions as SEC spring practices get underway.
- She may be a little girl, but she manages to hit on the essence of being a Georgia Tech fan in one sentence.
- Speaking of Tech, the computer hacker has been sentenced, but “The district attorney said he believes Pickren entered a guilty plea, meaning failure to complete the program would bring the student back to court for further sentencing.” So you’re saying there’s a chance?
We have a completely new defensive staff?!? Man I do not check the computer for 24 hours and look what happens!

As a child my Grandfather took me to Tech games a lot. I to was bored a lot. My first Georgia Game in Athens was so amazing! I remember standing up for most of the game with my date in the student section. I remember saying, “Now this is College Football!” No comparison…none at all.

Womack article references a “Letter of Internet.” Would like to know what it is. Actually, I would not like to know.

The Letter of Internet usually goes a little something like this:
“Attention: You May Already be a Winner! We are a crack team of top government officials highly placed with the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) of Louisiana and the federal government of Nigeria both of which are volatile third world countries. We are highly interested in commencing an immediate business relationship with you to enable us to transfer $18,500,000.00 into a reliable Bank account over which you will have absolute control.”

Looks like everyone caught that “Letter of Internet”. It quickly calls the question as to the range of knowledge of the writer. I might write it as a brain fart, but no one is paying me to be wrong. Plus, everyone would just yawn and say “Typical Cojones” and not even call attention to it.

PO network is a good thing. UNC should take note:

The Paul Oliver Network story from Saturday was actually written by Fletcher Page. Snafu on the website byline. I was in Auburn.

UK’s got a offensive lineman redshirted named Bunchy Stallings…may, what a great name for a center. So much better-sounding than any of ours.
Names are especially important for offensive linemen.

Pancakey Rearitis? I know, I know, it’s the “Bunchy” name alone as well as both together.
