After being humiliated last season, Bob Bowlsby’s group decides to go with the common sense route.
It is too late to help Baylor, but the Big 12 athletic directors want one true champion to be more than just a slogan next season.
The conference ADs said Thursday they are in favor of using a head-to-head tiebreaker to determine their College Football Playoff participant after co-champions TCU and Baylor were skipped over by the selection committee last season.
When that approach flops, maybe they can just outsource the naming of a conference champ directly to the CFP selection committee.
Nothing like that would have mattered last season. Once Wisky and OSU colluded, the Big Ten was in regardless what TCU or Baylor did.

Fo Reals. That’s dang sure what looked like was going on. Baylor really did get screwed. I still can’t believe, under this wonderful, amazing, incredibly awesome new system we gots that the Nat’l Champion got beat at home by a 6-6 ACC team. Good thing it was early in the season…which is just like the old system, right?

I guess Bama and OR were in on it too 🙂

I would like to be with Natedawg-but the truth is–OSU won the darn thing
I don’t like them or their Coach but they won the darn thing. It would be so sweet to beat them !

Guys, It’d be nice to prove Wisconsin flopped to let OSU smear them, but I don’t truly believe it. I just seldom miss a chance to dig at Corch or OSU.
Nonetheless, you have to distinguish what Corch did when he got in (win) from how he got in (crap). The fact that he won doesn’t make the crap smell good from when he got in.

They could have a Big12 champion selection show. Build up the suspense for 50 minutes before crowning the champ. Kaching!!!

Look, the Big 12 dug their own grave last season. TCU and Baylor weren’t “co-champions.” Baylor beat TCU head to head. That makes Baylor the conference champ. Bowlsby came up with the “co-champions” BS because he was trying to get the Big 12 to have 2 teams in the 4 team playoff. Greed is a terrible thing and they probably got what they deserved.
