Death, taxes and Spurrier

Spurrier’s contempt for Tennessee, on display:

He’s never beaten Butch Jones… like that matters, I guess.  LOL.

I’m surprised he didn’t figure out a way to get a dig in at Georgia. He usually never misses a chance.

He knows better than to rake that scar off this year.

He’s 4-1 against us the past 5 years, I don’t think he’s too afraid of Georgia.

I see Ugly’s point, he knows he was a lucky dog to escape with the win last year….

That said, He just like to poke at folks period, it is his nature, and it is usually enjoyable from my point of view, even if it involves UGA.

Oh it matters. Can’t wait to hear what he has to say after Butch and the Vols beat him again this year.

It takes a special kind of dick to give up 5 TDs to a kid making his first career start, blow a 14 point lead in the last 5 minutes of the game, and still badmouth the winning team. Bless his heart.

But Spurrier is right, Sgt. Carter has taken Mack Brown’s place as Mr. February, now Vol fans are hoping to be better than SC again, like in the 90s and aughts. The man hasn’t won a single meaningful game as a HC and the fans and media have already have them ordering for rings for both last year and this coming year on a special B1G1F deal.

TN was some better in 2014, but not all that much, and they looked completely lethargic on offense against Mizzou at home. And that was at the end of the year. I believe they might win one decent game this year but they could easily lose 5 or 6 again.

I hope we don’t have that attitude when we go up to Knoxvegas – we have a history of laying eggs up there already, don’t need to be overly cocky on top of that…

What a classless, graceless person. Always has been. Always will be.

    • Congregation say amen. I know there are a lot of folks who say, “I like him because he speaks his mind.” Yeah, so do people with schiozophrenia and we find them to be inappropriate when they speak their minds.

He is an ass. I won’t miss him one bit when he is gone.

As someone who admires class and grace, I can’t stand the guy. As someone who enjoys being entertained, I love him. I guess it just depends on which mood I’m in when I hear these types of remarks from him.

I think I’m with you, OD. I much prefer the Richt/Dooley coach-speak, but Spurrier can definitely be entertaining. I honestly hope he winds up on TV for a few seasons. It might be bearable again.

Steve is the Southeastern Conference’s crazy uncle. We have to tolerate him because he’s our kin. I also hate him but he has never to my knowledge told a lie. He is the poster boy for “the truth hurts”.
