86 teams….will 5-7 be good enough to get to a bowl? Or will 4-8 qualify?

The Grumpy Bowl, sponsored by AHD! Held in Athens at Sanford Stadium on December 15. In 2015 UK (4-8) will be the SEC representative versus UVa (5-7) from the ACC. Quite a match-up!!

Just what we need, more bowls! Actually, I thought Tucson already had a bowl. I guess Ga. Southern will be in a bowl next year. Heck, Ga State will probably be chosen for a bowl.

Ga Southern should have been in a bowl last year. Sunbelt Champs.

They knew the rules when they signed up. No bowl.

Not complaining, just saying. That rule was put into place to keep teams from claiming conference titles in year one while not playing a full slate of conference games. The Sunbelt is running scared at this point.

Southern will get in a bowl this year. Good things are happening in Statesboro.
BTW, the more bowl games, the better. If you think of it as an exhibition season (which is exactly what it is), it’s not such a bad thing.

If the teams wanna play and the TV wants to televise them what’s the big fuss? Never understood the complaints about too many bowls. As long as someone watches and they payout, let’em play!

Agreed…

Damn skippy. I’d rather be watching two 5-7 teams from the MAC on a random Wednesday night than the rest of the crap that will be broadcasted during that time of year.

Count me in as well. Too much college football? No such thing.

This so much. We can all quibble about the soul of college football and argue post-season preferences til we’re all blue in the face. The Senator’s post the other day regarding football as our common currency rings true to me. We all may disagree on the future / direction of the sport, but I don’t think any of us will argue that MORE college football will ever be a bad thing.

Little Rock stadium a little tight for a full house wasn’t it but of course 10,000 should fit nicely.

I know Barrett Sallee (Bleacher Report) gets some heat around here, but I strongly support his view on bowl games. If you love college football, I don’t understand how MORE college football is a bad thing.

Bowls are actually the only way you can get evenly matched intersectional games, as a practical matter. BTW, those first game of the season meetings in Dallas and New Orleans and Atlanta are really bowls, just at the beginning of the season instead of the end.

yeah I love bowl games. They are fun. They come on @ 2pm EST when there are 5 people in the office. #bowltwitter is fun.
Crazy stuff happens in bowls.
