Sounds like Boom isn’t taking kindly to Jim McElwain’s suggestion that the offensive line cupboard was left a little bare.
Muschamp said he was unaware of McElwain’s comments, but Auburn’s defensive coordinator offered a strong rebuttal.
“He said he could coach a dog and win,” Muschamp said. “Heck, (does he) like the dog better than his players?”
Riiight. Quoting the guy sounds totally unaware.
It’s a damned shame Auburn and Florida don’t face off this year.

They used to play every year. When the SEC ended the annual series, Florida had played Auburn as much as they had played Georgia, and Auburn is geographically Florida’s closest SEC neighbor. They still could wind up playing this year, but, as a Gator fan, I wouldn’t get on it.

I was thinking that very thing. FU ought to play Georgia, Auburn and Bama every year. Bama ought to play FU, Auburn and Georgia every year. Likewise, Georgia ought to play FU, Auburn and Bama every year……Wait….Georgia IS playing FU, Auburn and Bama this year. But the others aren’t playing all of the others….But what about LSU? Thinking of all the permutations makes my head hurt.

Yep, you certainly can’t blame his arrogance. After all, he failed upward, and was essentially was awarded a 1.8 million dollar raise (with less job responsibility) for his mediocre performance at UF.
If you were as arrogant as him and just handed a golden parachute, you’d be just cocky, outspoken, and generally a PITA to everyone too.

Not sure, but it certainly is amazing that CWM is essentially the 2nd highest paid coach in the SEC (UF severance plus AU salary), even though he’s not even a head coach.
Its akin to failing as a husband given you recently being caught having an affair by your wife, and as a result she introduces you to Kate Upton for counseling advice, which then leads to an affair with her. Your wife is so impressed with how attractive you are to other women that she lovingly forgives you and gives you a free pass from this point forward.
You and I would call that Hollywood delusion; Muschamp would call that a reasonable consultation prize (he prefers Carrie Underwood).
