Beautuful Spring in Georgia this year. Louisville is flooded and the Left Coast needs water (big time in Ca.).Wonder what the Fall holds for everyone?
Swirling cirrus over Sanford practice. Keep it that way into next weekend, OK?

You know Athens almost ran out of water and there were plans to start trucking it in. Yep. I think Doug McKillups helped move the grey water approval through and now we can use it to flush toilets. Although I don’t know who is doing it. People forget after emergencies pass.
This was a common sight in in West Africa. Probably still is. I once was asked to lead a group of young people and install a well in another country. Lot of people signed up and when I added up the two week stay and all the airline tickets it seemed a ridiculous waste of $. For all that cash I could put in a lot more than one well. And I didn’t need all those volunteers. I’m way too outspoken for my own good sometimes.

And the Athens/Atlanta happened because of a ridiculous law requiring Lake Lanier to ship water to Florida for their fish hatcheries. It now requires an act of Congress to undue. Meanwhile, the Tennessee River runs through what is legitimately the state of Georgia and we could not even get an agreement to legally give them the land in exchange for just the water….which by then is practically in Alabama’s territory, and they have no say (and who cares if Little Nicky doesn’t?)

Put a golf green near the river and you then could pump water. You don’t have to tell them about the pipe going all the way to Athens.

Don’t think that’s too outspoken, AHD. People doing the work should direct the activities as far as they see fit. So you needed more pipe to go deeper, who the hell knows the diff since they won’t follow up anyway? They can’t tell if it’s one or two wells from the pics.
Nice work. Sure you aren’t a Democrat? Did you do any recruiting? Are those date palms? Nice water transport system by the way.

Is Chubb gonna make an appearance?
Hope to finally see AJ Turman get some carries. I believe Gurley said the guy could play.
And wasn’t there something about a QB competition?

No wonder we can’t win the big games. Look at that coaching stance! So sloppy.

Thanks, AHD. I’ve never watched the procedure and wanted them to film mine, but no takers. Procedure done late Jan last year and ran into a Deep Vein Thrombosis(DVT) plus pulmonary embolism (no smoking) in June that’s just now stabilizing. Recovered quickly initially and was walking w/o any problems 1 month later , but the complications in June set me back to a crippled walk with leg, hip and back pain until the last two weeks. I’m glad now to have eschewed pain pills for so long.
I mentioned it at the time when Mark was noticed limping after the Tech (?) game last year, but no one has ever commented on screen or on here. Imagine he is gutting out some complications like I had. Hope Kathryn hasn’t gotten tired of the complaints like the ‘Nesian did. She told me to suck it up and put a sock in it because it was making her nuts. Her leg massaging helped tremendously. Then she messaged mine.

I remember you posting about your hospital stay. Curious if your Doc put you on coumadin post opp. That seems to be an argument my bride and oldest son engage in when they discuss my pending knee replacement. I don’t pay it too much attention to it cause I ain’t planning on having it done anytime soon. But it can be entertaining. 😉

AHD, there are some new, improved postoperative anticoagulants out now that better protect patients against DVT’s after surgery. Many patients are started on Lovenox or Xarelto immediately after surgery with improved results. Good luck whenever you choose to go that route.

No I wasn’t placed on anything until after the DVT in June. I’ve since asked about it and was told I should have been. Was on Xarelto from June to Dec and now on Plavix by Cardio Surgeon.
Any lawyer out there who is interested in my shortened life?
As long as I can get to a few games this year …
