I await the outrage.

Four offseason arrests in Tuscaloosa this spring.

O tempora! O mores! Where are the Herbstreit tweets?  Where is the moaning in the press about Saban losing control?

Instead, what I expect to hear on Finebaum today are complaints about how the police department isn’t supporting ‘Bama football.

In Saban’s defense..if he kicks them off the team, he’ll probably have to face them in the Iron Bowl.

If that comment doesn’t go into the GTP Hall of Fame, I’ll burn my neighbors car. (He’s a gamecock, so I’m just looking for an easy excuse really.)

      • Your lucky. I have a gamecock fan with a giant 3.5 foot garden art rooster in his front yard, a techster with a first time displayed “we run this state” sign in his and a very quiet Mr. “T” fan with a huge Tennessee flag. He hasn’t run that flag up the pole for a while though.
I always have one of these on my front steps on game days. With the score! Last year he had #3 on his chest. This year I’m painting #27.

He was kidnapped once and placed on top of the neighborhood pool house. It’s been suggested that the nerd did it but I have no proof.

My neighbor, Mr Piontek (you know the pronunciation) is a Miami fan and we drink a few to our teams every once in a while. Today is that once in a while over a firepit on the patio. I’m getting some expertise about Miami’s QBs and players of yore. If you want to hear about what pundits have done to fun-loving players, yall need to sit awhile with us. Course it’s all true, but what the hell, never disturb another man’s football revere.

But Saban is such a disciplinarian that no team member would dare to test his patience! What’s happening?!

    • I think several folks have already been hounding him judging from this tweet:

“Hey @buckbelue8 can you calm down your UGA trolls?! Never seen such a vocal minority misrepresent what a person said in my life! #sad”

Does he really think it is a minority of UGA fans that think he sucks? I am not sure it is…

What he hasn’t blocked all UGA fans yet? Count me as one who was fortunately blocked b/c I dared send one tweet, being critical of his double-standards the last time this happened.

That’s quiet a few domestic violence cases over there…what are they feeding their players?

Look to see some new Domestic Violence program to be held this summer for all those players. That will be their punishment.

They are now using the new and improved “Ultra Buck Deer Antler” spray instead of the original.

There’s been a new sheriff in town since November and he’s a Bama guy.

Maybe he’s negotiating for better seats?

Read the replies on the article, one claims the PD to be a bigger enemy than Auburn, another claims “bad luck”?

Not as bad as I thought it was going to be. He did not hit the girl or man handle her however he still very much crossed the line. Herbie…..we are still waiting.

“Ohio State senior quarterback Kirk Herbstreit is fortunate that bowl statistics do not count in an individual’s final statistics. Herbstreit entered the game with a school-record 63.1 completion percentage and his dismal 8-for-24 outing (33 percent) in the Citrus Bowl would have dropped him to 58.7 and into second place in OSU history. Jim Karsatos would have remained the leader with his mark of 61.2 percent set in 1985.” That’s taken from a ’93 Orlando Sentinel article following the ’93 Citrus Bowl in which UGA and Hearst ran all over Ohio State. It was Herbstreit’s last game. He’s eternally butt-hurt.

Bowls are still a new factor for the conference that hid from competition so many decades.

Could one game drop him 5 percentage points? Did they about 7-8 times a game that season? Forward pass was a new concept then as well for that conference. SEC was at least 2-5 years ahead of them thanks to SOS and Mumme.

Thanks Pansy. Love the smell of stats and history early in the morning.

      Jeez, nearly 23 yrs ago.

Although I’ve posted this a couple times before, SOS wrongly gets credit for introducing the forward pass as a formidable O weapon in the SEC. He used it well, but his predecessor did also and is the guy who gets credit. Mac, you and I saw a lot of those less-than-ten passes/game. Kirby Moore, DGD, but, God love him, he couldn’t pass more than 10 yds consistently and hit his target. He had a FB (Johnson) and a D that kept him on a winning track.

  12. Saban doesn’t have time for this S#$@t. Fortunately for him, all he needs to do is dust off his Johnathan Taylor second chance speech and he is good to go.
