But his work here is not yet done!

Jeremy Pruitt makes a “next in line to be a head coach” list… along with perennial favorite Kirby Smart.

Best line of the linked article … “Nick Saban’s wife, Terry, has stated publicly that Smart would be a great fit to succeed Nick.”

Smart’s not going anywhere. Pruitt will. I just hope we can hang onto him for another 2-3 years.

If Richt fails in the next couple of years, why not have Pruitt at UGA? I am all for it!

Hey, I’m pretty excited about CJP, but most of us felt the same way after CTG’s first year. Let’s hope for the progress we all expect, especially with the returning and incoming talent on this D. However, we’ll probably regress to the mean on turnovers.

This. I like the guy, he did wonders w/ the secondary and has a lot of other great points. But I’m not putting a lot of faith in swagger after CTG, and CJP’s cockiness is an eyelash too much for me.

We had no answer for the run vs Florida, Tech, or IIRC South Carolina – should probably get that figured out since other teams do that sometimes.

  5. I just looked through the list and somehow I missed Boom!

What about all of the politicking that comes with being a head coach? Pruitt doesn’t strike me as someone that would enjoy or be good at that.
