Boy, doesn’t that describe some of us? Not naming any names but……..

It describes some of us some of the time and some of us all of the time. The difference, though, is that some of us realize it and others of us don’t.

Nice to know other bloggers follow GTP. They nailed it.

That, to me, is the takeaway–these guys are all over the Internet, and they see themselves as savants, but they’re really lemmings who are throwing their identical selves off the cliff together.

  5. That was some good stuff right there. I don’t believe the Negatrons hate our program or our coaching staff. They want to be known as being smarter than everybody else. If the solution was as easy as “Hire Nick Saban (or whatever your choice),” “Build an IPF now,” “Demand a championship in 3 years or else,” “Run Jimmy Williamson out of Athens,” etc., I think Jere Morehead would be smart enough to have figured it out by now.

Senator, as you so eloquently put it yesterday, the solution isn’t that easy, and there’s a LOT of gray area. We have talent stockpiled in Athens now and a fresh, aggressive approach to recruiting. We seem to have a coaching staff that is energetic and ready to get after it with a mix of UGA lifers (McLendon & Brown), Bama protégés (Pruitt, et al), NFL experience (Schottenheimer & Rocker), and a Richt guy (Lilly). We have a head coach who is willing to remake his program (I reserve judgment on whether he can remake himself as a game manager) to fill in the holes. We have an administration led by Morehead that is willing to invest financially in the program and that appears to have put a leash on Barney Fife at the UGAPD.

In my opinion, now is the time to start seeing the results. I’ll be thrilled with a return trip to Atlanta, but I want to see wins over the Big 3+2 (UF, the Barn, tech, UT, USCe). I can handle a loss to Bama IF we play well and play hard for 60 minutes (a repeat of 2008 is unacceptable). We need to beat Mizzou to have any chance of Atlanta. Let’s make it happen.

I didn’t see any mention of backup QB’s and their springtime QBR or would fall into #2?

Senator, did you write this under a ghost name or have someone else do it?

LMAO reading this and the comments from the citizens of GTP!
My impression of the article is really one of amazement that someone actually spent so much time doing such an exhaustive expose of what is one of the largest “hit generating” phenoms on GTP and other college football blogs. While “hate” may be too strong of a word, the force behind this sterotype is gas in the tank for driving a thread..usually away from the original subject and sometimes right off a cliff.
    Nice job!

I think he is hating the ‘hater’. Pshaw…..hate in the eworld-inewsroom of CFB is as important as salt on scrambled eggs. Or avocado in guacamole. If we were interested in data we would just send each other Excel spreadsheets in response to the Excel spreadsheets others send us. But maybe send the file as bigassGaTechhater.xls.
Besides are there any non morons in the world that believe Auburn is a clean program? Is that hate? Hell yes. Isn’t Auburn losing to anyone the reason the word schadenfreude was invented?

It does not only apply to football but also to politics. I know the haters call me a Pollyanna but I can live with it.

+1 DB.. It also applies around my house. My wife and I watched “Men of Honor together the other night, and I’ve taken to calling her, “Master Chief”, mostly as a joke..but not absolutely. Maybe I’ll get her a corn cob pipe for her birthday

  13. This is a great read. Kind of DMS IV for the blogosphere. I need a better name for this article…. so I can just cite “Haters” number 2,5 and 18. It will save a lot of typing
