Boom may not have been the bestest head coach, but don’t let that stop the Gus Bus.
“The best defensive mind in all of football, not just college football,” Malzahn said of Muschamp, who was fired last November after serving four seasons as Florida’s head coach.
Hoo, boy. SEC, you have been warned.
No offense but didn’t we used to regularly light up the Auburn D when the “best defensive mind in all of football” was the DC there before?

Indeed, and when he was Saban’s lackey at LSU too. I wouldn’t call him a bad DC because all defenses get blown up occasionally (Bama’s against AU last year) but I have trouble grasping that Agent Muschamp would ever be linked to having a great mind. Perhaps Malzahn meant that relative to someone who acts like an eight year old much of the time on the sideline.

Here’s hoping Agent Muschamp has the same success that former defensive god Van Gorder had at Auburn

Meh, maybe so. All I know is that Bobo laid some lumber on Boom’s D more often than not.

In all of football? C’mon, Gus. There’s a bit of Baghdad Bob in such a claim, but I’ll take you at your word that you think Agent Muschamp is more adept than anyone else in the game, to include your friends over in Tuscaloosa or that cheatin’ rascal up in New England. And you’ll get to look across the field and see John Chavis and Jeremy Pruitt on successive weekends in November. Best in the game? Hmm, gotta be the best in the same stadium with the aforementioned first, I would think.
Let’s see if you still hold that same position in five months.

I was happy Boom was at UF and I’m happy he is now at AuBoom. Long live Agent Muschamp!

Gus…considering the money youse guys are paying him, he better be the best defensive mind at Auburn, first.

Gus forgot that he wasn’t talking to a bunch of recruits and their families.

(The following paragraph is sarcasm)
Gus may be the real genius! He’s covered if that high octane offense isn’t up to snuff! Agent Boom should be able to produce ten to fourteen points a game on defense…while holding other teams to less than ten! Amazing!
(end of sarcasm)
Gus is setting the bar unreasonably high for the Boomster. If the Auburn masses buy into this hype,(and I think they will..or have) things could get ugly if a couple of teams hang big points on them.
They’ll remember these Gustavian remarks.
And if another program comes a courtin’ Gus..AU has a plug-in replacement in Agent Balloon Head Boom.

This sounds like a make-up comment. Something Gus said or did rubbed boom’s ass rash and now Gus is bringing flowers and candy. Auburn and UT fall for fan pressure every time and go after big names. With the big names come big you-know-whats and pretty soon these FB staffs are as demanding and impatient as a fat diabetic woman at the Cheesecake Factory. Here’s hoping for a dysfunctional, root-canal quality fall camp for the war-cheaters. Hope Boom shits on the rug and Rodney steps in it.

This is the same guy that said “there are no off weeks in the SEC.” He has Jacksonville St, San Jose St and Idaho on the schedule this year.

Forget about the college talk…he thinks he’s better than Bill Bellchick? Absurd. Belichick has been a D coach his entire career, winning two Super Bowls as D coordinator with the Giants and 4 more with the Pats. To suggest that Boom is a better D coach than him is flat out laughable.

He did shut down Florida’s offense for 4 straight years.
