It’s only two letters, dude.

Now he tells us.

One thing Richt mentioned once he was on stage for the UGA Day interview with broadcaster Chuck Dowdle and the subsequent Q&A session with fans was that the official depth chart released earlier this summer should have read “Brice Ramsey or Faton Bauta” instead of listing them as first- and second-team players, respectively. Greyson Lambert, a transfer from Virginia who has entered the quarterback mix, wasn’t on the depth chart then.  [Emphasis added.]

If Richt’s goal is to keep the quarterback race as muddled as reasonably possible, he’s doing an awfully good job of it.

    Maybe it’s three letters.
    “And”
Rotating can be a good thing, esp. if there are two different skill sets.

His goal is to solve the pecking order of the QBs, but that is best done by muddling things for the next several weeks.

I don’t know who emerges but feel it is a tossup between Bauta and Ramsey going into camp. Ramsey probably had the edge going into Spring but was unable to separate himself from Bauta. Lambert may work his way to the top once they see what he has in camp and how far along he is with this offense. They have a few weeks but it certainly would be surprised if they give at least two of them significant reps in the first two games.

  3. Richt is always excited during the preseason. But when the real games begin its a different story. Another loss to SC and Tech…well you guessed FLA.

    • Now, Bobby, you promised. We got your point yesterday. Several times, in fact.

Don’t make me call a second strike on you for being overly repetitive.

Why do I get a whiff of “spoof troll” off you, Bobby?

I’ll take UGA straight up in all three of those games…$500.00 each.

If his phoney mouth wants more, I am willing to take the extra action. Just skip over his negative trolling, adds nothing and has made some nonsensical statements. Don’t feed the trolls, this site has stayed above that for the most part, and then the Senator runs out of patience once he realizes there guys are here for their 2-3 days of “fame”. 15%ers get 40 percent of the ink while detracting from some pretty good discussions that stay on point until these children interject their obsession.

In every interview, CMR has mentioned ball security. Seems that will be the key to the starter.

I think ball security is paramount this year, particularly in getting the ball from the center and into Chubb/Michel/Marshall’s hands. Ramsey was pretty good at handing off in Charlotte. Hard to find stats on this, but by my count, Lambert fumbled 3 times last year while getting sacked, and once on a qb sneak (i.e., never in qb/rb exchange). GL did have 11 INTs in 9 games, though. He had only one game in which he had 0 INTs; it was against FCS Richmond, and he was only in the game for 4 possessions. Granted, his o-line will be infinitely better this year compared to last. I saw a highlight reel where GL looked pretty accurate, big, and with pretty good wheels. Reminded me a bit of Tebow with a better arm. In addition to a poor surrounding cast, I have to think some of GL’s struggles last year were due to first-year starter jitters. I’d rather not see how those affect Ramsey/Bauta. As of now, I’m hoping Johnny-come-lately gets the nod.

I have a better idea. Avoid the QB controversy completely by putting Isaiah McKenzie in to catch each kick off and insuring he scores each time.
Wait….then we wouldn’t get to feel the goosebumps when NickSonyKeith steamroll LBs, slip DEs, and outrun DBs into the end zone.
God, that roar. Nothing like it. An uninhibited auditory climax. Sustained and shared for minutes. And if Auburn is on the receiving end, then the carnival bell is blown off the pole.

  6. I guess McGarity didn’t want to impact the reserve fund by inserting those two letters.

  7. No depth at left tackle??? If theus goes down we are doomed! Don’t move Houston to right tackle. He stinks!!! Poor recruiting and we couldn’t keep Seymour interested in playing ball.

  9. Nope…a waste of time would be ordering UGA season tickets…because we all know we are going to get brutalised with the weak offense this year. Schotty couldn’t coach the Rams much less UGA. We are doomed!!!

Senator it is time to put Mr. Jenkins out of our misery. I know he generates clicks but he is a one trick pony.

Richt should have just said they are both listed as second string QBs and leave the first string job open and make some comment about nobody has earned that job yet, but there are several guys working hard for it.
