“It’s like getting a brand new set of golf clubs.”

For a group of folks who say they don’t want to make a big deal out of upgrading the talent base, Georgia’s coaches sure are talking about upgrading the talent base.

“[U]ndo pressure”? Somebody relied on spell check and didn’t proof read. Tsk, tsk.

They aren’t gonna a pull a Charlie Weis, ” have you looked at that pile of crap out there? Have you taken a look at that? So if you don’t think you can play here, where do you think you can play?”

  5. Tell me about this Jurkovic guy. Is he a freshman, does he have to sit a year, is he expected to contend for PT?

Straight up true freshman just like all the others. Late addition because he was processed by Urbie. The jury is still out on playing time like all freshmen, but pretty sure he is fully eligible this year since he never enrolled at OSU.

I, for one, have really had my eyes opened in the last year or so about recruiting. I now realize Georgia was behind other teams in the SEC in getting the best players and that really played a significant part in the Dawgs not winning championships. It looks to me now that the team is getting full institutional support and that, in part, is translating into better recruiting. I really feel positive about the team going forward.
