Schultz reads GTP, may even be a commenter. Wonder who?

He should have just stopped with “Dawgs arrest free lately”
I love how his opinion column is basically to regurgitate someone else’s work while adding a not so catchy ‘zing’ at the end. Nice “opinion”, Schultz.
Of course, http://arrestnation.com/teamsschools/university-of-georgia/
No arrests in 2015
In 2014, Shaq Jones (off the team), Davin Bellamy (charges dropped), Jonthan Taylor (off the team, picked up by Bama, off Bama), Tray Matthews (Off the team, Auburn), Johnathan Taylor(see above), James DeLoach (still on team), Uriah Lemay (off the team), Shaq Wiggins (off the team…Louisville) So literally only two guys on the squad who have been arrested in past two years.

I can remember all but S. Wiggins. Can you refresh my memory of what the charges were?

I thought Wiggins left due to pruitt expecting him to work for his spot.

Me too. That’s why I can’t remember any arrest.

How dare he state facts that were already all over the internet!

It’s not the facts. It’s the snarky headline.

You think that’s snarky? Would you rather it NOT mention that we’re arrest free lately?
Me thinks you’re a wee bit hypersensitive.

What do the two clauses in the headline have to do with one another? As Irwin says above, the headline should stop at “Dawgs arrest free lately.” The rest is just trolling, which I realize is what passes for sports journalism these days. YMMV, of course.

The article/post isn’t about the Dawgs being arrest free lately. It’s about the data that was reported and the fact that Georgia and a lot of other SEC schools rank high on the list. Schultz threw in the part about being arrest free lately to put somewhat of a positive spin on the data.
Good grief. Some of y’all are completely brainwashed into thinking that the whole world is constantly conspiring against us. It’s ridiculous.

He could have taken the time and actually research the arrests, like a few of us mentioned below…that would have been click worthy..not all arrests are the same. How did each school handle said arrests…you know, be a journalist. But he is a HACK.

I just wish Schultz would quit calling to ask if we want a discounted AJC subscription.

All of AJC writers are click baiters. Terrence “whatever his last name is” used to do it and now they have Carvell and Schultz, who know nothing and don’t do their own work, to do it. Well…at least we don’t have to read all the butt hurt tech fan’s comments anymore below every article.

If Shultz was worth his salt..which he isn’t…he’d look at those stats and wonder what’s behind them. One good question he could try to find an answer to is, why do some schools never have an arrest, even though they recruit the same kids as a school in the same state that has had a lot of arrests? Maybe there’s some “fixing” going on..ya think, Smuchks? Why don’t you find out how these coaches manipulate the police in their towns..something CMR has refused to do in Athens.
Just another lazy AJC journalist.

Clemson appears to be an obvious omission. I guess none of those kids get arrested. It does make you wonder.

UGA has tried to deal with Jimmy Williams. McGarity met with him and got no where with him. Richt can’t really do anything about it.

It is impressive how much things have turned around in Athens. We have gone from being one of the biggest offenders to a clean program. That is an amazing accomplishment.

You mean thank you Coach Pruitt. The Pruitt Effect.

Definitely…he’s cleaned-up Richt’s act after failing to fix JImbo’s and Nicky’s.
And I think I know who Jeff Schultz is here now at GTP…

LMAO…IF you don’t think the new Pres at UGA has a big time hand in this. We ALL go after the same kids.

Stats are stats. This might be worth something if it showed felonies and not failure to appear over a speeding ticket. Vandy had fewest arrests in the SEC. Care to guess which crime was by far the worst of the bunch? Yep. So much for stats.
