… surging Georgia Tech confidence after a rare win over the Dawgs.
Season ticket sales are up 12% over last year. It’s Tech’s best showing since, yep, you guessed it.
It is the highest total since 2009, following coach Paul Johnson’s first season, when the total was 35,209 for 55,000-seat Bobby Dodd Stadium.
They’ve even sold a game out before the start of the season. Nice.
Also nice is astute analysis such as you can find at From The Rumble Seat, where we are assured that if the Dawgs can improve their “abomination” of a rushing defense (never mind that GT’s defense gave up close to a yard more per rush last season), they’ll “definitely have a chance” to beat Tech. That’s good, ’cause I was getting worried that Richt would have no chance to extend his undefeated record in Atlanta.
Richt has lost in Atlanta. He just has not lost a game at Mark Richt Field in Bobby Dodd Stadium. I think he extends that winning streak this year. GO DAWGS!

It’s cute that they actually think they were the better team last year. Or maybe they just think we’ll trip over our own dicks again.

I love beating Tech. And I’m going to really love it this year when we put the unmerciful beat down on their skinny necks.

Thouht this article would be about the QB race as that was the first sentence in the Red and Black article about the quandry of the 3 QB race.
Nope about Tech who has a very good QB to direct their attack. Now how did Johnson out do Richt in that regard?
How many QBs did Richt and Bobo have on the roster the past 3-4 years. Bobo is gone, but I guess he settles with what was left to him. Richt must be in the same boat, thinking his old OC was getting the job done, after all he was a starting Dawg QB.
When the Dawgs won the SEC titles a decade ago, who recruited those QBs?
And now Richt tells us that the uncertained of a starting QB is as certain as death and taxes. Considering the recent history of East titles, SEC titles, and so-so QBs, does UGA have a coaching problem re recruiting and developing as true calibre SEC QB?
Many of think he just draw sticks, after all it has not much mattered in past few years. Except Aaron Muarray single handley won a game at UT and Auburn inspite of his former OC.

Meanwhile, it’ll be interesting how good Thomas looks at QB for them without their best OL from last year, and all the starting backs and WRs. And Ted Roof still coaches their defense.

Nerds!

Calvin Rickson, an engineer from the Georgia Institute of Technology has designed a bra that keeps women’s breasts from jiggling, bouncing up and down, and stops nipples from pushing through the fabric when cold weather sets in.
After a news conference announcing the invention, an unidentified Georgia freshman took Mr. Rickson outside and promptly punched him in the nose and departed from the scene upon a scooter.
Strangely, the AJC has made no mention of the incident.
