James Franklin is deflated.

Hey, if my team gave up ten sacks in route to Penn State’s first loss to Temple in almost three quarters of a century, I’d be asking the refs to check football pressure, too.

  1. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. He left Vandy in a mess, and Mason turned it into a dumpster fire. His mouth writes a lot of checks that his coaching ability can’t cash. I can’t imagine the folks in Happy Valley are going to be very patient after this.

Great job Penn State. You hired the biggest coaching con man douchebag in the country. It’s a match made in heaven

Sorry, that distinction belongs now and forevermore to Kansas and Charlie Weis. The Jayhawks will be collecting the ashes of their football program for years to come after being stupid enough to drink the Weis snake oil.

      • Weis may be a con man but he’s not a d-bag on Franklin’s level. Weis at least has Super Bowl rings that provide him some level of credibility.

On Kansas, they’re a basketball school that had some success in football for a short period of time. They’re Kentucky with a little more football tradition.

      • Wonder if KU could bring back Charlie Tuna if only to defeat South Dakota State? I actually flipped over to that one during some of the Dawgs’ delay and it was an “entertaining” game, as the Jackrabbits hung on to take out KU, 41-38.

Penn State and Franklin deserve each other.

True, couldn’t happen to two more deserving entities. Franklin is a snake oil salesman, and State Pen proved what they were when they stood behind sanctioning a pedophile. Disgusted forever with them, should have gotten the death penalty.

Agreed. If there was ever a reason to shut down a program, that was it. Football had complete control of the university, all the way up through their Board of Trustees.

I hope they continue to struggle for many years to come. It was great seeing them lose to Temple yesterday.

This is, most likely, going to be the best thing to happen all college football season.

Is Penn State still down on players? As in number on scholarship?

Franklin’s lone bright spot on his resume was beating us. Penn State hired him because of one game and it was a PC win too.

It’s about time that windbag was deflated a bit.

  8. Franklin left Vandy for Penn State and somehow managed to make BOTH programs appreciably worse in the bargain. That’s quite an accomplishment.

We shouldn’t give in to base desires to see someone who is disrespected by us get defeated It says a lot more about us as fans and our ability to perceive the good in others. He did lift their spirits at Vandy and except for a little dudt-up between him and a former D coach, we don’t really have anything to cause us to not to be forgiving. That being said, I’m glad the low-blocking, low-moralizing, low-standards piece of shit got his clock cleaned to show him up as the douchebag extraordinaire that he is. His luck from his first game played last year played out.

Do not believe the rumor that Temple will award the game ball to Bill Cosby, PhD. He has had enough gam balls 🙂 to last the remainder of his life.

Looks like Vandy’s loss to them was not a fluke. The Owls play a helluva game.

Franklin will make Penn State into the B1G version of Vandy.
