“I know it’s going to be in the back of our minds that we lost the last time we were there.”

As long as you don’t forget, Jordan.

And remind everyone who wasn’t there about how it felt afterwards.

“There’s never an excuse to slip or underestimate a team,” Georgia cornerback Aaron Davis said, “because at the end of the day they are still an SEC team, they’re a college football team. So anybody can be beat any weekend.”

Georgia is the only SEC power that has kept the Dores in the league. The rest beat them like rented mules but we almost always let them make it a game. The real question is how many Georgia kids are they starting that are going to ball out because they want UGA to see what a mistake we made not offering them. This factor has become my gage on how hard a team will fight us. There is a price to be paid being the team from a state with so many D-1 players.

    • Remember too that we had most of our offensive skill players and a few defensive players out too. Plus the refs help out Vandy on a huge bad call. I know we should have put them away earlier, but there was a perfect storm at the end that swept us up.

Worse than the bad call, was the “bad rule”. It still amazes me that highly educated, well paid people, came up with the “if the review determines it wasnn’t targeting, and the player is not ejected, the first down/fifteen yards is still applied”. Mind numbing.

    • Slow your roll Dawg. 😉
      Just the facts please.
      Georgia: 2-13 since 2000. Leads series 55-19-2
Ole Miss: is 6-4 over this past decade. Leads series 48-38-2
South Carolina: last lost to Vandy 2007-2008
Missouri: is 1-2 against the ‘Dores.
Gators: lost to Vandy in 2013. Florida leads series 36-10-2
Kentucky: broke Vandy’s 3 game win streak in 2014 and leads series 42-41-4.
Vandy has beaten the Hillbillies 2 out of the last 3 years. UT leads 74-30-5.
It’s interesting that the ‘Barners have a losing record against the ‘Dores. 20-21-2
Currently our Dawgs are tied in their series with both the ‘Barners and the the Hillbillies.

      I’ve got a brisket going and that a long…long … process. 😉

We lost to them twice during my four years at UGA. I still haven’t forgiven Coach Goff.

Never underestimate the sec refs either.

Didnt Vandy have a two game winning streak against the Knoxville Fungus recently? I thought Franklin beat them twice.
