Ho hum… another day, another great Nick Chubb story.
Swoon part:
That responsibility doesn’t seem to faze Chubb, who is quickly becoming familiar with how bright the spotlight can be for a 19-year-old in America’s most vaunted conference. But he remains driven by two things: a shot at a national title and a chance to bring pride to his neighbors back home. Successes are glorified in a small town, and failures magnified. The latter isn’t an option for Chubb. “It’s kind of like being a hometown hero,” Chubb says. “I’m back here at Georgia doing it for my state.”
He’d make a nice SECCG MVP, I believe.
He has my vote.
This guy is what college football should be about.

Nick is CMR’s reward for doing the right thing with Crowell.

Pretty sure Crowell did it himself. I think a Felony charge is automatic dismissal.

I love the story about the baseball team that came to Cedartown and saw Nick working out. His reaction was priceless … “Don’t y’all have a game to play?” DGD is all I got to say.

Also a ringing endorsement for more effort to fix the family structure in America instead of excusing it. Chubb has a supportive family and community to provide a structure to his life, and a solid base. His RB coach had that also. Instead of the divisiveness and hatred, time to step up to the real root causes of problems of the massive failure among low income families. Hint: it ain’t skin color.

Also, give him credit as an individual because he has resisted all the bad influences and made the right decisions on his own. A strong family doesn’t guarantee success but the percentages of winning are astoundingly better for kids raised in that environment.

I save those bits of wisdom for those who are “learnable”, not those that are deliberately destructive, Komrade.

I watch football for guys like him. Glad he is on our team and glad that he is doing well. Hope he stays healthy and continues to do it for his state.
We have had a good run of great story guys. Guys that get it and do more than just football and that is really neat.

He’s really a great person. I hope and pray that he achieves what ever dreams and goals he had set for himself.

And its time to start riding the horse. If we can loosen up the SC defense with a few slants and screens he should have a bid day Sat.

If Nick Chubb were to decide tomorrow that he was done with football he would still be one of my to three favorite Dawgs of all time. God bless that young man.
