Southern’s def front in pretty good so far.
Southern missed a 47 yard fg.

Blocked a Southern punt..led to a score by Chubb on screen.
Sony bulled his way up the gut to score from inside the ten.
I’m kinda watching with one eye ..so if I got any of this wrong somebody correct.

Southern came to play..much better than South Carolina was. Kind of worrying me a little..
Yep, mikebozo..the defense seems to be gambling a lot and Southern has taken advantage pretty well.
17-6 Southern Scored a determined touchdown and went for two..didn’t get it. Getting kind of late in the half.
Dang it..I want to build a lead so we can see some different players.

Typical lethargic looking game for an early kickoff vs. a division whatever team. A couple passes were floated so bad I had time to get a beer and sit back down before the ball came down. Also, I’m pretty sure this is the hardest I’ve seen Chubb get hit all season, especially that last drive down around the red zone. Let’s just get done with this one healthy.

I highly recommend the Monterey Fish House. It doesn’t look like much from the street, but if you can get a table, it’s awesome. BBQ’d oysters. Bananas flambe (may not be on the menu, but ask for it anyways).

We rolled, nobody on our end got hurt, and hoping for the best for the kid from Southern.
GTU just got pantsed by Duke. I’ll check into Stingtalk later for more joy.
Also, Bistro Moulin in Monterey is one of the better meals I’ve had in my life.

Stingtalk almost seems like they’re all too tired from dogging their own team for the entire game. Everyone’s already run out of insults, and they’re recycling them.

LOL, Dolly. The Genius was something like 1 for 4 or 5 on fourth down conversion attempts today.
I think he’s toast if he doesn’t turn it around pretty quick..this was supposed to be his great team. They’ve lost two already and still have FSU, Clemson, Miami, VT, NC and Georgia… thats gotta sting 🙂

O-line came together in the 2nd half opening things up for Chubb. Sony and the Joystick played well the entire game. Same with Mitchell. As for the D, it’s just hard to judge in a game like this. Mostly hope the Southern kid is alright. That was just a freak hit…he came out of a spin and Morgan happened to be there.

It was nice to see the bacckup defense manhandle them. I can see why everyone assumed Thompson would start coming into the season. The kid’s a monster. There’s not much to take away from the game though, except maybe that Georgia is talented enough to bring their F game and still lead 20-6 at the half against a terrible opponent.

Who do we want to lose and why? Inbreeds or reptiles? I think it’s the reptiles because they have an easier path to be a player in the east. Keeping the lizards down does more for us I would think.

Fu has the tougher schedule, with LSU & Miss, so I wanted them to win. Hoping my calculations work out. And if KY can knock Mizzou off tonight, it puts us in good position heading into a tough October.

Back from the game – team toyed with Southern in the first had and blew them out in the 3rd. The Human Jukebox was fun to watch and really good.

Sat in a box and it was completely quiet as the Southern band played. People gave them a standing ovation from the 400 level. I have a feeling a lot of SEC schools are going to want to schedule them after hearing about this.

I didn’t get all the angst on here early. I thought we played well in the first quarter. Built a lead. Then lolly gagged around in the second. I had no doubt whatsoever we would hammer their ass after halftime. We did. Nick quickly got his 100 and sat down. lambert through for over 90% again. He’s good. Ramsey got some good playing time. He defense stopped the musical chair look thing and tore their heads off in the second half. And why is it that after every game so,embody tries to make Isaiah McKenzie hurt? I saw that play and then saw him running around fine after that. We won 48-6 and none our guys got hurt. It was a very good day. Let’s get ready to beat Bama and prayers for the kid from Southern. They did say he was moving his hands so that a good thing.

Praying for the injured Southern player. The ABH is saying he will remain hospitalized in Athens for now..not much else.
Mike Cooly..Hyperbole anyone? Not only do I not “get” the angst..I don’t “see” it. Where was anyone showing that? We just agreed that the first half was a yawner.

My one complaint is that the D still suffers from 3rd and Grantham and has all season. Not nearly as bad as the one true 3rd and Grantham, but, if we’re looking for something to improve on…that will be huge against a physical, grinding team like Bammer.
Otherwise today went like I’d hoped. Win, stay healthy and reps all around. I feel like the coaches have done a great job unveiling certain things and repping players, to this point in the season, to have it really come together next week. I may be wrong, but I feel like the team has it’s head in the right place, too.
Also, it may not have been a part of an overall number 1 recruiting class but I think our reserve D is one of the best. Scary talented.

Great day in Athens! Dawgs came on strong in the second half. Southern played a good game, much better than USCe last week. Southern’s band put on the best performance by a college band ever in Sanford Stadium. Let’s bring them back soon and let them play the entire half-time show.
