Well, the game this week won’t end the same way the one in 2013 did.

Booch has shown Pig Howard the door for the dreaded violations of unspecified team rules.

Before you ask, Howard’s a senior, so Auburn isn’t in his future.

I believe the smoke coming out of the dumpster in knoxvegas is beginning to billow. A couple of losses to UGA and Bama will just add gas to the dumpster.

FFS. Did Grantham actually say that?

How many fourth down stops did his D not get that would’ve put the game away?

  4. According to several on this thread, was due to failed drug test. Supposedly 5th one. Do they really get 5 strikes at UT?

  5. Pig was a 3 star. One reception for 8 yards this year. So 5 strikes is Max Allowed for Mr. Howard.

Crazy hot at that game. One of our crew had a medical episode and we left after halftime. Waters and AC were in dire need. So we headed to Calhoun’s to finish watching the game. The place was wall to wall Vols. The place was going nuts when he scored. On the reply I noticed the ball coming out. “We are about to steal this one” and we did. That place was dead quiet and cleared out in no time.

I love a good road trip for just that reason.

    • I was in Auburn at a bar during the 4th and 13 play to Michael Johnson. As the ball is released it was 50/50, maybe 60/40 in favor of Auburn fans. Before the PAT is was 80-20 UGA and we were all going nuts.

Wonder what half the stadium was talking about as they walked out on their team Saturday night in Athens. Great image for the kids on the sidelines.

First ones at the tailgate and last to leave, too. Almost had to use 4wd to get out. Lol. Honestly, the whole day had an aura of waiting on the other shoe to drop. Folks melting in the rain only expedited things.

Speaking of tailgating spot- I’ll probably be in Athens the next couple weekends repairing the yard at the rental property/tailgating spot. Been at that same spot for over 20 years and have never had it get destroyed like that.

Having all our top backs and receivers taken out of the conference stretch drive will do that.

Proud of the way the offense fought the rest of the season, but we knew we were a dead team walking that evening in Knoxville.

While that was a lucky bounce for us, all that would have done is put them up with our OT possession to come. The revisionist history is that they would’ve won on that play. Not true.

Something is wrong in Kville, too much undercurrent. Might be what happens when a carnival huckster is given the HC job and a microphone. I couldn’t be happier. I recall a RB that TN needed badly getting a 5th shot after a failed drug test and not a single UT fan opposed it. Auburn-esque I think, just a pretender but their fans are every bit as willing to bend over at any time the Big Orange brass asks for some wiggle room.

If I may….no one on this board or any other wants Georgia to beat Tennessee more than I do…no body.

But I fear for the psyche of this Georgia team after Saturday. Fans leaving early in hordes, fans booing….bad stuff right there. The Kharmic Bitchez are dancing around their kettle.

Yes, we should beat the Voluntears. Yes, we should recover from last week.

But I’m worried about Tennessee, and I’m gonna worry till the fat lady sings.

Wouldn’t it be ironic… and completely within Georgia’s “punchline of the SEC” stereotype… for UGA to blow a 2 score lead and hands a win to Tennessee… turning their season around and saving Booch’s job… for at least this season (…the plot thickens)

      • Or not saving his job after Booch looses it in a blowout loss the next week.

Well we did save the Fish Fry’s job. We could be 8-0 at Mark Richt Field this year. Sweet.

Richt has given away signature wins in the past. I find this interesting from both fan and player views, dejected on all sides (UGA and UT). If UGA is up in the 3rd their fans maybe the ones walking out.

I do give the advantage to UGA, it is easier to get focused on the road with fewer distractions and many UT fans are tired of Butch.

You think fans leaving and booing is the reason to worry about the team’s psyche? I’d say if there is reason to worry about their psyches it is because they were just curb stomped by the first good opponent of the season. Not that I think their psyches are destroyed.

Okay, I’ll take this seriously for a moment. You guys want the fans to come out all fired up and support the team and so on and so forth. Well, when the team does nothing to give fans a reason to cheer all of that pent up emotion goes somewhere. Some people get a sick and dejected feeling, and sometimes they express themselves negatively. Booing is a fairly harmless expression. The players are young men and have dealt with far more negative things in their lives than fans booing. They’ll get over it if it bothers them at all, so it’s asinine to make as big a deal about it as some have.

I’m amazed at the mood swings on this one. From one end of the spectrum to the other. The UGA fan base may very well be in need of professional help now. This is just not healthy.

    • Yank, the Georgia fan base has been in need of professional help since about 1983 when the Herschel Curse kicked in after he left to work for The Donald.

I’m waiting for the political ad to run by some Super PAC the closer the Georgia primary gets that shows Herschel and then fades in with a shadowy Donald Trump taking him away from Athens. “Vote for Donald and you’ll be killing the Georgia football program all over again.” 🙂
