Bert goes to acting school.

This is called working the refs.

And it worked!  Much to the outrage of Roll Tahd World, I’m sure.

SEC refs get suckered into all kinds of dumb calls.  Hard to see how this is any different, other than the manner of sale.

    This is what people like myself mean when we talk about Richt being the best possible at non-Ws and Ls kind of stuff. The COACH faked a shove to get a call, and you can bet that’s what the players are taught too. I would not wanting that sub-human coaching at my university.

    You know, when you think contextually about this, if I was Jeff Long, I might bring him into my office and fire him on the spot. I literally cannot think of another Head Coach that would do this. He’s trying to pick a fight with a 20-yr-old kid and get him in trouble with it. That shows an incredibly low sense of character. I’m not Meyer or Saban fan, but I can’t imagine they’d ever do something (or even think to). Who would? It is pathetic, as ASEF said.

    Where I come from, that’s what we call a cheatin’ mother fucker. By the way, my Ortho colleagues tell me Chubb’s injury is most likely a PCL injury with a Posterolateral Corner injury. That’s bad, real bad. Out at least a year and may never play again. That’s their diagnosis from afar so hopefully it’s not that bad.

    Did anyone else see Booch chase down the back judge 40 yards after he back judge did not call interference on UGA on the drive which eventually became a field goal for Ut? He was yelling and screaming at the guy. I was waiting for the unsporting conduct flag.

      Not sure if it was the same play, but I recall one time Jones went across the field, almost literally to the UGA sideline to get a hold of a ref.

        Bart made a cool little move when his con went through, looked like something from the Jackie Gleason period. Might have used that step on the dance floor in Vegas when he conned that hooker into running away with him.
