Steve Spurrier didn’t need an agent when he was coaching at South Carolina. But now?
CAA has signed former college football coach Steve Spurrier for representation in all areas. Spurrier, who resigned last week as the coach of the Univ. of South Carolina, will be represented by a team of agents, including powerful coaching agent Jimmy Sexton and powerful broadcasting agent Nick Khan.
It takes a village to raise a football commentator. Or at least his contract.
This explains the round of layoffs at espn. Making room on the payroll, and clearing space for sos’s ego.

Would you trust ESPN and Mickey Mouse without a team of lawyers?

Deep in the bowels of the B-M complex, posters with the face of SOS and the phrase “I’m baaacccckkk” are being printed.

I haven’t seen Spurrier as a commentator, because he would have to comment on teams and issues outside of himself. Not that this stopped Lou Holtz, but I tend to think the idea of talking about a college football world that is moving on without him would not be his first choice. I’d think he’d be happier holding court among adoring Bull Gators on golf courses in the sunshine state.

But then again he could DVR all of his commentating and play it over and over again in the off season. He loves to hear himself yapping.

I’m sure a controversial former Heisman winner may also be interested in some promotional opportunities too – maybe TaylorMade needs a new spokesman
