I wish somebody would tell Jim McElwain to shut up.

What am I supposed to do about a Florida coach who says things like this?

It’s as if he’s the bizarro Urban Meyer.

He’s definitely a shithead for making us not hate him.

Even if we lose I won’t hate him unless he goes all Urban in the presser after. I can’t hate a man that seems to be humble and genuine as well as a really good football coach. It is possible to be successful as a head coach without being a douche like Urban, Spurrier, or Booch.

I don’t care who you are, that there is funny!!
Apparently he’s unaware of the fact that he has to be an asshole to be associated with the UF program!! Someone needs to set him straight!

Y’all, settle down. We haven’t even played them yet. Pinkel wasn’t so bad until after we lost that game to them a few years ago, so let’s not get ahead of ourselves in terms of liking another team’s coach.

    • Agreed, lets wait until post game and see how he handles defeat/victory. My guess is that there will be some chinks in the likability armor then.

Pinkel came into the SEC acting like he owned the place and while Texas A&M talked about being excited and proud to be a part of the league, Pinkel and Mizzou almost appeared bored and unimpressed. I certainly hated him before Game 1, and the fact that their fans thought they would beat us up in their first league game certainly didn’t help matters much.

I always laugh about the 2013 Mizzou game, as it often gets referenced when sports shows would talk about Mizzou. However, no one ever mentions the fact that UGA came into the game having lost 3 WR and their 1st and 2nd string RB in the previous 2 games.

Exactly. And when Pinkel was asked about the injuries he said, “No one was hurt on their defense, right?” We also had a ridiculous “delay of game” penalty on a punt return that gave them a first down.

McElwain will never win a national championship at Florida. He is too nice.

How is it possible that UF can hire a non asshole coach? This may be the most evil thing the gators have ever done. The humanity of it all.

I said after he chewed Taylor’s butt out for the slash that there was a new sheriff in town and he seemed to be the Anti-Urban. So far he has not insulted any of his opponents nor talked snark about anybody. We may just have to run on the hate of prior coaches.

Dang right I hate him, if he hadn’t left CSU then Bobo wouldn’t have left and we wouldn’t have this supposed offense we have now. Upwardly mobile jerk. Yes I am blaming him for UGA’s offense and maybe the defense too, if Bobo had of been here he could have shown Pruitt what he was doing wrong and everything would have been great in Dawg land.

True or not it is all his dang fault.

Good grief! A friend, who’s a Gator (yes, I have one or two of those), just sent me a screen shot from GatorCountry.com of a blog post that says the following in all its grammatical glory:

“There is a lot of discord on UGA’s staff at this time. Most of it centers around Pruitt. He is hard to get along with and pushes very hard to pretty much run . Pruitt a couple of defensive assistants that do not like working under him and are miserable. Richt and Pruitt clash a lot and has started to spill onto the practice field. Pruitt likes to take credit for everything positive in the UGA program and blames others behind the scenes for the failures.”

Just in case you were wondering what the Gator fans are talking about this week.

Pruitt must be doing all of this in private, because on the field and in press conferences he acknowledges assistance and has stated several times that CMR is boss.

Not only that, but he applied for the job because Richt is held in high regard by members of his family. Richt and the SEC was what he was waiting for – now he has to go and prove his worth this weekend. It’s fish or cut bait time.

This sounds more like talk when Grantham was here, not pruitt.

I hope this is all true, and that Pruitt proves how good a coach he is for the next four or five games (or six). Any discord on the staff will fade to black with five or six wins in a row.

Come on Coach Pruitt…show us you da man.

(Note: that Florida fans are drooling over this bullshit gives me hope.)

Haha. There’s two ways to look at that, though the first isn’t worth even typing. But I will.

It’s true and Pruitt is going to go all in next year and take over. He’s tired of the same ol same ol which is typical for a young hot coach with ambition. For him, the same ol is something that happens in a weeks time, then sees it again, then decides to stop it. Not sort of let itself work out by steering the guys toward the wanted outcome so that they can meditate on the life lesson they took 18 months to learn.
Have any of you looked CMR in the eye and shake his hand? He’s got the “it” factor. He can put you firmly in your subdued place in less than 2 seconds just by the look and maybe the tone of his one chosen word dropped on you as if it weighed 2 tons and covered you like a wet blanket in January. I’d bet money that grant – ham couldn’t hardly look the man in the eye for more than a couple seconds.
