Clash of the Titans

Feel the momentum heading towards Saturday…

Georgia needs a win and needs one badly, but Kentucky (4-4) is coming to Athens with hopes of taking another step toward bowl eligibility after three-straight losses. Both teams are 1-3 in their last four games.

It’s a tsunami, I tells ‘ya!  Ruuun!!

More and more, this season is taking on the flavor of the Goff years.  They just gotta get buttah.

I hear the Titans fired their head coach this week.

Pretty excited about this game. Vegas had us as a 17 point favorite which must mean Schotty is getting fired this week, because there is no way that guy could score 17 points in a game.

To borrow a quote from an lsu blog Schotty couldn’t score in a whore house with a stack of hundreds.

I have to give Richt credit, he has made the Kentucky, and Ga. Southern games “huge” games. The tech game could end up being the game for bowl eligibility.

Yeah, could be billed as “Bowl Eligibility Bowl 2015”. If I were a tech fan, it would be easier to take a season like they are having. They aren’t doing it with top 10 recruiting classes.

At this point I am hoping that tech wins the next 2 games and then we get a shot at ending their bowl streak at their house.

About all you can look forward to at this point.

Their house? Not do fast my friend. Until proven wrong that game is being played at historic “Mark Richt Field”
There was a Rolling Stones concert played there. I have the t shirt! 😉

That’s assuming a 3-win Tech gets past a “win one for our retiring HC” VT and game at Miami (who did appear to play better with Golden fired). Not that a 7 or 8 loss Tech wouldn’t still love to further ruin our season.

..or that GT is the Georgia based team that can win a game over a team from Florida…..

And if we see Schotty freeze during a game and then see Joe Kines replacing him, it will have taken on the flavor of the Donnan years.

Do you suppose we’ll see an airplane banner in the remaining two home games?

Anybody else see the Atlanta digital billboard advertising “wear black?” I am actually not kidding here. We were sitting in traffic yesterday, so I saw it come around twice in the ad rotation. Great idea – loss to Kentucky can be blamed on fake juice and the unis!

I have never, and will never, hope for a UGA loss. But there is a big difference between wish and expect. Have heard nothing to make me think this team will pull it together Saturday. Kentucky may not be good, but they are not in turmoil to the same degree.

Serious question. Shottenhiemer is gone after this season, right? There’s no way he is retained, right? RIGHT?

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Pruitt gone instead. Pruitt makes the lazy coaches look bad by comparison. Richt can’t have anyone pulling the curtain back on the stealing operation.
