“As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.”

It’s Thanksgiving.  This is GTP.  You know what that means.

That never, ever gets old.

Enjoy your blessings, folks.  You never know when you might not have any to appreciate.  And thanks to my family, friends and you readers.  I’m sure glad you’re around to appreciate.

Happy Thanksgiving Senator! WKRP was a grossly underrated show. That clip is an all timer too.

We are Georgians, Southern and American. We are alumni, supporters and fans of the greatest university anywhere. No one is shooting at us today, we move with nearly total freedom. We are the most generous people on earth. We will feast on delights unknown to most cultures. Sweet tea could bring peace to nations if served to world leaders on the porch of a cabin above Dillard.

    We are Georgia.

We are blessed beyond what we deserve.

  15. Just in case anyone is wondering about this…wild turkeys are excellent fliers. They can get airborne horizontally or vertically and fly almost as fast as a goose. Any turkey hunter can attest to this…just sayin’

It’s just that pen-raised turkeys have their wing feathers clipped so that they won’t fly out of the pen. If you launch them from a helicopter you will see wild flapping trying to get air underneath so that they may fly up and into the rotors. Their lives were prolonged by seconds when they made sure they didn’t fly up and into the rotor.

&@$#%!@ lazy turkeys! Dumbass parents and kids should have had the frozen turkeys dropped on them as originally planned. They just couldn’t get them defrosted in time.

We are playing the survivor turkeys this weekend. Sic’em Dawgs!
