These disgraces to journalism, our AD’s ego problems with Pruitt, and maybe even the input from the trailer trashier parts of our fanbase are now the drivers of our most important personnel decisions.
Awesome.

Get over your butthurt, dude. The fanbase doesn’t have any input in those decisions. The moneyed donors and politicians had more to do with Richt getting fired than any of us serfs

Dude, I said ‘maybe’. I don’t know precisely how an AD gets this incompetent.

Personally, I think Agent McGarity is just doing the will of his employer: The Florida Illuminati. BTW, Agent Schottenheimer really did a good job for them, too.

I thought Agent BS going with the 3rd stringer for the entire Florida game was a bit too much if he was trying to go incognito.

If you want to get pissed at fans for the outcome then look in the mansions rather than the trailer parks. For instance don’t buy a car from a Nalley dealership or don’t buy liquor from anyplace that Leebern supplies.

While I hate Bradley and wish he’d DIAF, the sad thing is he’s had plenty of new ammo to add to that list every year since 2006. 😦

Funny they don’t mention that DJ was on the sidelines injured when we lost to Florida in 2005. On the other hand, when Tebow PLAYED in the 2007 game and we won, we heard about how hurt he was for 366 days.

Why on earth do you people pay attention to or respond to this nonsense? This is and has been the AJC’s shtick for a long time….prod others and drum up interest in their dwindling at best newspaper by publishing sensationalist headlines to garner reaction.
And like the gullible suckers that many of us are, we take the bait every time and play right into their hands like some uneducated rube. Insane.
Most UGA grads are way, way smarter than this.

Yeah, traditional media outlets have become click bait. There’s a reason I mostly read blogs, and even those are moving in click-bait directions around the internet. I’m glad the Senator has kept this one an independent voice. It helps that it’s his hobby and not his livelihood.

I was in the camp that was in favor of a change and will not click on that article. Richt is an honorable man and journalists should show more class. Part of me is sad for Richt and yes part of me is excited for the future. I hope Richt finds success and fulfillment in whatever or where ever he may choose to go and the same for UGA.

Gotta make money somehow. Oh well. I can’t condemn them much more than the program who have left coaches and players hanging in the breeze. At least the AJ C gets paid to do what they do. Well, I guess Butts-Mehre is now doing it, too, since it appears that certain boosters have it firmly by the sack.
Richt is more of a man than I for coaching the bowl game.

I am glad this move was made, but I am still sad to see CMR go. I really, really wanted us to win a title with him at the helm. I just think his time has passed and we need change.
Fuck you, AJC. Fuck you repeatedly until you die.

I really hope the new staff is as media hostile as one can possibly get. It would be pretty damn funny if the AJC was denied access to the program. If a complete opposite of CMR is what is desired, then I want to see a coach dress down pricks like Bradley, Schultz, and that piss ant radio hack Oliver, routinely at press conferences. Everyone wants a Saban, so we may as well get the full persona.

Above all, we recognize that the University’s obligation to the state of Georgia, and to the parents everywhere who send us their sons and daughters, is to provide our students with a level of quality education which leads to recognized academic achievement, contributing to their social development and preparing them for meaningful lives and careers. We are committed to the proposition that academic achievement is not and should not be a gift. Rather, it is a challenge that must be met by the individual students, as well as the University.
Accordingly, all our efforts are guided by certain values we believe essential to the fulfillment of this task:

I have to ask….it that all? Is firing Mark Richt ALL they are doing? ‘Cause if that’s it–it ain’t gonna change anything. McGarity is the AD. The program has been determined to have diminished on his watch to the point that it is no longer a threat to win championships–that is the stated reason for firing CMR. Remember as recently as 2011 and 2012 the Dawgs won the SEC East–lost the SECCGs (one loss at the very end in a close game)–but they were competitive enough to win the East. I say FIRE MCGARITY!!!! The buck has got to go higher than just the HC here. And while we are at it, how about that cadre of faceless hangers-on who inhabit B-M and do little, if anything, except draw a paycheck? Is there going to be a review of THEIR job performance? This smells–the way it was done and the limitation on WHAT is being done. This appears to be nothing more that throwing out red meat to placate the mob. We are being presented with an opportunity here. The UGA administration has made the decision to make a change. Fine. But do NOT think that throwing Mark Richt out of his office will in any way change the “Georgia Way.” Make no mistake about this–the “Georgia Way” is what is wrong here, not just one man. Unless Morehead moves decisively to make further changes at B-M we will be replaying this again in 5-7 years with whomever is stupid enough to take the Georgia HC job with the same inmates running the asylum.

Mayor, name the last team who hired and fired a coach on the same day. Or shit canned the entire athletic administrative staff on the same day. Or fired the coach and the AD on the same day. Or did any two things of major hiring-firing significance on the same day. Chill brother and have faith.

I gotta think that McGarity is on the clock and has a gameplan, because if he doesn’t, that is monumental incompetence. Its the national championship game for McGarity. Do or die. This is what he gets paid the big bucks for and this is the moment we will know for certain whether he can do the job.

The AJC is just carrying on the tradition of the Tech loving, UGA hater Furman Bisher. If CMR did nothing else, he owned Tech. 8-0 at Sanford West will not be topped by McGarity’s new coach. The crowd at the AJC is already laying the foundation to fire McGarity. The new coach better be damn near perfect.

He had a good reason for doing it Oyster..maybe he wanted to tell the kid in person..or tell him tht he shouldn’t feel obligated to UGA if his heart tells him to go elsewhere…or that he would still be very welcome at UGA…he didn’t go just to try to salvage his job..he’s not wired that way.
